Haven't heard anything. Very jealous of anyone going to chicken training- sounds great! APDT look to have an awesome line-up this year, been too long since I've attended one of their conferences so I'll be heading up this year, all things being equal. :)

Vet Nurses Working In Vic

Tried to send you a PM Erny - perhaps your inbox is full? :) -
If you're a Vet Nurse currently working in Vic, and you don't mind answering 2 questions, would you please PM me? Thanks in advance, Mel.

The marker will require actual drug brand names and dosages, when other drugs and given and what they are and the technical terms for the instruments. What are the names of the clamps used, what is the name and size of the suture materials. There's 20+ instruments in a regular surgical pack. You can't just write 'given a premed' for example - the assignment would be returned.

Sorry neon, it's actually generally great around here so stick around hey. :) I understand what it's like when you're a 'junior' in a Vet Clinic, often there's no-one with enough time to help and it can be a bit intimidating to ask. Particularly if you're only there part-time. For some reason the curriculum is and has always been set out in a way that you need to know full sets of surgical instruments before you might have even been let loose in surgery. Seems bizarre.

FFS beat up the newbie, much? If the info is so easy to find then post your links and help the poor person. Let me know if you need any other info, neon.

I'm PM'ing you some brief info. :)

Hi Guys, I'm New! Just A Couple Of Questions

Which breed? Some of the dolers here may be able to steer you in the right direction/s. :) -
Sheridan - Therapon have 31 bags of the 6.5kg in stock, use-by 9.12. Pm me if you want to go any further but I'm sure there's a possibility of your Vet doing an interstate order as well. :)
-
Sure - Monday I will send you a PM.
-
Hi Sheridan, Therapon in Vic still had 20+ bags of the 7kg sensitivity when we checked a couple of weeks ago. See if your Vet can do an order with them or I can liaise with you about shipping if you're interested. I don't know what the use by date is but I can check. It's well worth calling Eukanuba helpline as well as they have a few low residue vet diets not just FP and they can go through the ingredients with you.

How many dogs got through TO? -
Is she still keeping the pup? Did you tell them about the new legislation?

Gee that statement really gives me the sh!ts when I hear it!! He needs to listen to the Dodds webcast. If there is *any* immunity then re-vaccing will only cause a temporary spike in levels before they return to the pre-vacc levels. I have also confirmed this with a new grad human Doctor. The memory cell level will only rise if-and-when your dog is exposed to field virus. Which is actually a good thing. :) But hey, I guess you know already know that, just need to educate by example!
-
You totally should. I'm a bit wary, I'm pretty sure I'd come home to a 6kg Burmese sitting on top going around, and around, and around.
-
Love it.

I've had anaesthetic injected directly into the vein through an IV line without any pre-anaesthetic medication and I can assure you - it wasn't painful. But, I think we're just wasting our time. Stick around or don't stick around P, but you won't see much talk of children. Beloved dogs yes, not humans in fur coats.

I can see what you're saying there but if the OP refused a transfer, what else did they refuse on the basis of not wanting to pay for it? We can't run diagnostics without the consent of the owner. This is not the whole story. This is a skewed version and if the OP still feels traumatised they need to seek some professional help IMO.

It's possible they (the breeders) do it and just disregard the COE. Will be interested to see what she texts, was it from F&F? I saw some advertised there (just the breed).

Treat Bags For Training
Staff'n'Toller replied to MishB's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
My premier one must be about 7 years old now - looking a bit cruddy! Hasn't failed yet though. I bought mine from here http://www.petexpertise.com/dog-training-aids/dog-training-pouches-bait-bags/gentle-leader-training-pouch.html she will do bulk orders as well. In Aus the only person I know would be Jenny Ireland Pet Products. -
The Strangest Thing Just Happened Here
Staff'n'Toller replied to Staffyluv's topic in General Dog Discussion
I've had someone walk past 4 cars in the driveway to the first car under the carport in front of the fenced dog and steal stuff out of my car so nothing surprises me these days. I'd be concerned for my safety/my dog's safety though. Stay safe. :) -
Sometimes General is not a very nice place, but it's worth it to keep posting until you get enough cred to get into the secret section. ;)
