Scrap that while i was writing this i saw ur post sorry guys To be sure is double handling just outside the ring?? so the handler in the ring can say the dogs name???

My boss have their Leonberger put on BARF since 8 weeks, and the breeder fed her own raw mix... she is big and strong and winning shows with her gorgeous coat:) They give her chicken wings and necks and omega oils mixed in as well as BARF byitself can cause plaque build up as their is no chewing... so as long as they r getting stuff to chew one they will be fine Luna girl is a champ on it so im all for it

Hey, My JRT X is horrible for car sickness, we inherited him from my nanna and pop. They brought him to be their travel companion on their camping trips... needless to say it didnt work so they left him with the cats at home :D They tried literally EVERYTHING and i mean everything lol. We have just accepted that he is never going to be ok in the car... I took him to the last day of my tafe course - we r doing COmpanion animals cert 4 and our last day was a BBQ at a dog park Now i had him on the front seat with air blowing in his face as this seems to help, i had the seat covered in towels and the floor so i was covered for a tummy upset! He went in the car for a good hr there and 20 minutes around town then again an other hr on the way home and didnt vomit once!!! this is the fiorst time since he was born that he has madeit in the car without being sick... he is 15 this yr... so he just took his sweet time getting used to it! I was so proud! for some ideas, the vet had given him a tranquiliser for one trip when he was about 4, he had rescue remedy - made him fall over didnt like it really but works treats for others, umm... ginger he tried no results there and we tried a few mixes that a natropath made up for him... no results there either lol

I recently discovered that pred makes humans go a bit loopy, as in really happy good mood. We asked a vet does it have the same effect on dogs and he said yeh but like humans, some dogs will feel it others will have no symptoms... Was wondering any of you guys with dogs on pred notice that they are super happy and chilled out all the time lol - of course if your dog is on it sice it was a pup or young you wont notice but for those have a dose for other reasons. I cant believe those numbers!! i knew people other then registered breeders were breeding but i thought their were laws controlling the BYB and farmers!! Now im just really angry and disgusted in our country for not protecting our best friends and in alot of cases our work mates...

Are you serious?? I thought backyard breeding was illegal?? - As in only registered breeders are legal?? If this is not the case then maybe we should start by fixing that? And i couldnt agree more we should be out there doing advertising for purebreeds and explaining about the measures we use to control these diseases and what not.

im a dog groomer and i work in a boarding kennels... we have a furminator... IMO: Works on labs, GSD, beagles and pugs, those kinds of coats and cats - if u can get near em lol, broken coats are a little harder with the furminator. Basically test it first i dont think a westie has the right coat for it to be honest i would contact other breeders and see what they use and maybe if there is someone u know that has one u can pop in for a test drive??... it is really good... but only on certain coats... i brought a ebay special thinking it was going to be the bees knees... was a little disapointed... but when it works... it really works... the beagle lost 5 kgs after her strip out LOL and labs... my god its a godsend i swear lol

I couldn't agree more instead of complaining (trust me i do it A LOT!!) we really need to start taking more action and hold these illegal breeders responsible, dob them in (if we can find them) and see if we cant get a representative from dogs VIC or the ankc to go on these shows and voice our opinions so that the general public isnt only hearing the crappy side they hear ours as well... We know they are wrong but nobody else ever will if we dont attempt to educate others!! She really pisses me off self righteous ***** she owns all pedigree dogs as far as i know so if designer dogs are so good why doesnt she have one?? love to hear her response i cant wait to she her poodle cross in training seeing as she needs a dog with her for her advertising campaigns!! She is in it for the quick buck and isnt a responsible Veterinarian... Wow i feel better now thanks for listening... hahaha
