I have a jack russel so he takes up no room at all with his food lol Frames are the size of the chickens body cause thats what they are lol so it depends on if u get a big chicken or not! id say as a rough guess about 10cms round the belly and about 20cms longish?? Lamb necks can be cut up for a pup but when he is older give them whole though watch his weight as they can be a bit fatty - best advise for freezer stacking is go to a butcher and ask to se what the necks and frames look like so u know what will fit or if u can for a full grown lab.. get a cheap small freezer off ebay??

Goldies Behaviour When Husband Comes Home?
kirst_goldens replied to Snowball's topic in General Dog Discussion
that is cute We discourage mouthing even gentle mouthing as described above simply because if they did it to a stranger or a small child everyone would scream dog bite... I might be a little cautious but i dont think its a good trait for a dog to have - i like the toy idea though -
hrmm there is only half the golden results??

those rogz collars are so popular! i work in a boarding kennel and about 80% with collars have those ones! sometimes i struggle to get them off of rtheir going home wash and dry lol

ok so i have done the big change and my boy now gets NO kibble!! yay!! Now i was going to buy his meat in bulk yesterday and i was looking ast the minced chicken frames - it is like 2 bucks for 2 kgs.... but will he get too much bone if he has this as half his meat content?? His daily food is as follows: Morning: one neck from mum to shut him up lol a wing from me Dinner: 75g minced chicken frames 80g veal mince VAN half a teaspoon alfalfa powder one teaspoon MSM with glucosamine and chrondroitin 2-3 capsules green lipped muscle extact omega oil - teaspoon He is 10kg but has a large amount of food at night cause he wont eat it for breakie and needs it all as he has taken to dropping weight in his old age is this looking ok for now?? if the minced chicken frames are too much then next shopping trip i will just get some steaks or something i have a wholesale meat joint like a 5 min walk from my joint so its cheap as lol

Ideas For Ways To Bond More With My Dog
kirst_goldens replied to FranVT's topic in General Dog Discussion
Oh! don't feel sad it will come i have little to no advice for u but i really feel for u, she will come around and she isnt rejecting u she is just a baby u have all the time in the world together... Cheer up Im sorry u feel so rejected it isnt a very nice feeling -
I think thats very irresponsible of the kennel to not ask if they are desexed!! Asking for trouble there Thought i would mention as well we dont combine dogs in runs as mentioned at other kennels the only paired up dogs in runs are from the same family and we dont take entire cats either as they make the cattery stink wiht their spraying and we like the cattery to be clean and smell nice!!

I work in a boarding kennela nd we socialise the dogs in packs - if ther are entires they are NEVER mixed with other entires whether they are in season or not so over chritmas we can sometimes have 3-4 entires all at the same time meaning we have at least 4 seperate mixing groups and making our life VERY hard so over the busy periods we have been known to say n o to our very regular clients. We usually ask the question to anyu owner of an entire - why is it entire? we have a few breeders and show dogs though and are all promoters of purebred dogs so always push people to desex their dogs but at 10months we would have thought if pedigree might have been told to hold out for maturity. But she should be desexed if not being bred with.

To Owners Of Elderly, Active Dogs
kirst_goldens replied to arrow's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
My old boy is 15 this yr He is on raw + VAN with alfalfa power, MSM and capsules of green lipped muscle extract, he jumps around like an idiot and plays with border collies like a puppy and loves to play tiggy with my 6 mth old kitten lol He has been on horrible supermarket foods until 6-7 yrs ago when we inherited him from my grandparents when they passed away, then he was on royal canin dry and 4 legs and now has been on raw for about a month ish! He gets walked 2-3 times a week and that seems to be enough - in the last yr or so he has slowed down and his walks are shorter now But doing good - he is a broken coated JRTX -
