thanks everyone! There are no fleas left thanks god but she was doing the diluted malaseb baths but that seem to dry it out further and irritated it more so we stopped everything and went back to good old rock salt and water and bathing it and thn drying it out heaps if this doesnt work ill move onto some of the creams and what not meantioned! i would prefer there was no chemicals on her as well and she is licking it and it is touching the pups as they feed... thanks again guys! big help

vet insisted on leaving it be... but she is going mental and the vet isnt willing to help i thought about curash but wasnt sure... she was going to put neo cort on it until i freaked out LOL... what about bepanthen or another nappy rash cream???

sorry dont know anyone out that way, but i would say ask your breeder for some tips and suggestions, home grooming a springer isnt hard (stripping) but u need to keep ontop of it to prevent it from becoming a huge job... if ur dogs werent from a registered breeder then just contact one by searching the breed pages on Dogzonline and im sure any would be happy to give you some tips

Hey guys, Friend of mine has a staffy bitch with a litter of one week old babies on the ground all doing well A few days before the litter was born the btich was bitten on the backside by a flea... She is severly alergic and instantly started biting and scratchingg, since the whelping she is getting worse... friend took her to the vet and they used advantage (aparently was the only brand ok for nursing bitches?) just to be sure there was no remaining fleas and the other dog in the house was done as well but they sad to leave the rash alone and it will come good soon... thing is... its driving her batsh*t Poor possum is very uncomfortable and scratching it like mad... So now to the actual question bahaha what can she safely put on it to ease the discomfort that is safe with pups?? Thanks in advance for your help

i agree with nekhbet i hate dry diet foods as they are filled with useless fillers which make the dog feel full but gives it very in the way of what it actually needs, feed a regular kibble and feed half or a homemade diet meal liek above would be ideal, and increase excersize as above again i think 2-3 smaller walks a day would be good and treat balls are good for dogs on a diet, like the kong wobbler? i think its called? lots of fun for a lab and they get a bit of exercise as well and then u dont have to sit with them while they eat u can set them up with the kong and do other stuff while they eat and play.

how can one bag of food be suitable for btoh pups and adults?? pups have VERY different needs to an adult... or did i read that wrong?

i got a new zoom lens ust for kepala and herding!! Ill have to mka esure i have the next herding training day in December off... need kate to sort out the dates already!! LOL but yeh if im there ill be taking plenty of pics! And thanks for the compliments on the pics im learning... and i love taking pics of the puppies hehehe kepala is like a photography training day for me lol i dont get to practice much these days
