I was searching for some good recipies and though why not ask here so i figure lets make it a keeper so everyone can use it!! So pls post away!! My baby will love u all for it hahaha! Heres some i found on the kong site! Honey monster Ingredients Clear honey Dried apricots, diced Apple How to stuff it Dice the apple into small cubes. Put the honey into a saucepan and heat until it becomes runny. Then remove the pan from the heat, add in the diced apricots and apples and mix well. Allow the mix to cool a little before pouring into the kong with a bung in the small hole (such as tinfoil, you can remove it when it’s cooled). If it’s going into a container with large holes at both ends, such as a calcium bone, allow it to cool quite a lot first or it will pour right out again! You may find it easier to use a piping bag cut open at the end (ie without a nozzle) rather than pouring/spooning this sticky susbstance. Allow it to cool completely before giving to your dog. BANANA RAMA: 1 fresh banana 2 tbs wheat germ • 1 tbs plain yogurt (can use your pet's favorite flavor as well) • Any KONG Toy that best fits your pet's chewing temperament. In a bowl, mash up banana. Then, add wheat germ and yogurt. Mash all ingredients together and use spoon to add to KONG. Freeze for 4 hours. Makes 1 serving for Medium KONG. Double for every KONG size that is bigger. Fruit Salad: Apple and carrot chunks 1/4 of a banana Appropriate KONG toy Place apples and carrots in KONG toy. Mush the bananas in large hole to hold fruit in place. You can include other fruits and veggies: orange slices, peach and/or nectarine chunks, celery sticks, broccoli and/or cauliflower, tomato and black olive mixture. Aunt Jeannie's Archeology KONG (for advanced dogs) Fill your KONG toy (the larger the better!) in layers and pack as tightly as possible. LAYER ONE (deepest): KONG Stuff’N Beef and Liver treats. LAYER TWO: KONG Stuff’N Tail Mix or dry dog kibble, Cheerios, sugar-free, salt-free peanut butter, dried banana chips, apples and apricots. LAYER THREE: carrot sticks, turkey or leftover ravioli or tortellini. The last item inserted should be an apricot or piece of ravioli, presenting a smooth "finish" under the main opening. - by Jean Donaldson Frozen Jerky Pops: Peanut butter Bouillon Jerky Strips • Water Appropriate KONG toy Muffin tin. Smear a small amount of peanut butter over small hole in your KONG toy. Fill with cool water and add a pinch of bouillon. Place a Jerky Stick inside KONG toy and freeze. Squee SG!! Just setting up the pens and crate now... all very exciting! i got 3 bunnings crates o i have a few spare and can lay then over any holes she digs as well... got it all looking good then thought.. hrmm outside in her "run" (just a HUGE pen as i have an older man who isnt fond of pups when they are very small -though bigger then him... small man syndrome hahaha) And im looking at thinking.. there is nothing out there.. i didnt get an outside bed!! So illl grab one from teh kennels we have spare covers there as well so chew away baby girl lol... but i have a water bowl and some toys... what else should i put out there?? I need to get to the op shop and grab me heaps of blankets and towels for her to rip up and destroy snuggle in... Cant wait to show u pics! offical ctacking and picking day tomorrow then work all day tuesday (how i will cope god only knows... how the staff will cope listening to me crap on is worse haha) then wednesday im working in teh am then back home to finish off puppy set up then pick her up in the arvo... there was a recent discussion re puppy prices in a group for golden breeders i am in... we found some breeders were charging up to 2000 for a pet :D and the puppy buyers brought it from them on the assumption of well if it costs more its better cause u get what u pay for... these breeders with highly inflated prices were not competitors in the ring but some i believe did obedience and retrieving? thought not all.. some were just breeders cause they like it.. I know many breeders who are some of the best in the country charging MUCH less then this and IMHO their pups would be of a better quality... But its all up to the breeders decision... i dont think show and pet pups should be charged differently as u are stating this pup is suitable for show.. adn then if it falls through ur in trouble i also dont think that an older puppy/young adult should be priced any different.. in actual fact most of the time these older pups have had more training and socialisation then the 8 week old it once was sold as...

loves the pics guys!! We havea wobbler at the kennels i work at for doggies who need a bit more stimulation and we had a dobe in recently and he worked out if u just pick it up and drop it from a great height food falls out so we could just hear BANG... BANG.... BANG bahaha funny... we had a golden just stick him tongue in the hole as well and another use his foot to hold it on the side where the hole is and drained the whole thing one the floor then sat down for afternoon tea... funny to watch these toys in action tells u alot about how a dogs learns and problems solves

i plan to breed in the future and would love to do a party catch up at one yr for all the babie sin the litter - gives me a chance to see how they all turned out and to be a silly silly and spoil them all i would do a party pack anyday hehehe

goldens are chewers so i have plenty of kongs and teething toys i have a few toys with stuffing but those wont be left unattended till she is older... but squeekys are awesome!! i also got one of those teddies that has a water bottle inside instead of stuffing and a kong unstuffable with is a teddy with no filling... i can see if i brought heaps of normal stuffed teddies i would have it from one end of the house to the other lol i think get a few things u liek then see what ur puppies likes best u might find they hate teddies so buying 30 of them would be a waste lol get a selection and see what they want... im in the process of manking a shopping list for kong filling recipies and and things like that cause my baby will be coming to work on her second day home lol and whilst she will be in her pen right next to me i dont want her getting bored and annoying everyone hahaha

i agree with most so far hahha grooming demos would be awesome - show pet owners whats really involved in grooming a god, also have brushing demos to teach people good coat care showbags with real stuff in them not brochures!! Good bowls and leads and what not Room is a biggy and i like the homemade sort of feel as well... i dont want to see hill sd and royal canin and rspca i wanna see breed rescue groups - shout out to my beagle rescue crew!! i would love for the crafty people on dol to get out and sell their photos and leads and jackets and tugs!!

isnt chopping really pointless?? they dont chew them then they get yuk teethy pegs?? I would go for wings or chicken frames depending on what she is like as a chewer... wont be long till she will mow down a whole chicken frame.. and also supervise feeding bones. U can stick with the mince - it wont hurt and if she likes it then why not? try not to buy pet grade puppy mince as it is VERY high in fat and all the yukky bits lol - the mince isnt necessary seeing as ur feeding the dry but some raw is better then none i figure! hows ur lil girl going?? pics????

i would agree it depends on the dog... some are more fragile then others, and i would agree with penning him outside for a while to make sure there is 100% no chance of a tiff when u arnt there to intervene

she will be there in may... but ill try not to go int he big dog area unless i carry her.. i dont want her to get bowled over.. and the other puppies are bigger now and can handle the boofer doggies... I have decided on a pet name now so yay!!! just need a reg name!!
