  1. No real reason except I took them today, so figured I'd post them... firstly a yankee: My bosses pup, she hits a year old in a couple of weeks, and yes she has coat for africa! lol. I'm babysitting for the week, so will try get a few more pics of her too. And then the "French" (though more correctly; German!); a poodle! who is *also* getting rather hairy right now! lol. I'm grooming her next week though thank goodness.
  2. Loving the pics guys!!!!!!!!!!! Mine is a bit boring this week, didn't have any inspiration at all so just snapped a pic after she was groomed... lol! Week 6/52 by flyingduster, on Flickr
  3. here's my obligatory foot shot... with poodle flair! Week 5/52 by flyingduster, on Flickr
  4. I have a brag; our first ever win in special beginners in obedience! YAY!
  5. love love love all the photos!!!! They're amazing guys; keep it up!!! tlc, I like the first one best too... It's sunday [i'm starting my weeks on Sundays...] and I got an amusing photo of Paris this afternoon, so it'll do nicely for week 4, and if I get something better this week then so be it. LOL!!! She was coming towards me and I went to snap a pic just as she shook herself! haha Week 4/52 by flyingduster, on Flickr
  6. I can't decide between two pics! They go together, so I'm gonna be naughty and post them both.... WEEK THREE; week3/52 by flyingduster, on Flickr week 3/52 by flyingduster, on Flickr
  7. Thanks! It's taking a bit of figuring out to get editing stuff, but I'm having fun!! Gillybob, I'll try getting some more rattie pics for ya later... I need to get a 'week 3' pic of Paris first! lol. Might get the rats out in the weekend for another photo shoot... FD
  8. Another vote for a standard poodle!!! Shave it off short all over and it doesn't look like a poodle anymore, and is super easy care (no brushing, just needs re-shaved every 2-3 months)
  9. I haven't read all 15 pages (just the first page and the last! haha) but you ruled out standard poodles cos you don't think they're drivey enough? Can you tell my girl that please?? lmao! Standard poodles are still very much a working super smart gundog underneath the fooffy hair-do, and certainly don't lack in drive (or smarts). The coat is easy care when shaved off every few months, and they look quite cool when shaved down anyway... Definitely not couch potatoes in the slightest, though being so hugely people-driven they are happy to relax on the couch when their humans are; just to stay near. They can be taller, but they're lighter boned than a husky, and you can get smaller ones too (that boy in the pic above is a big one! Paris is around 66cm and 18kg and she's a slightly taller for a bitch, though still normal) Similar to a border collie in the brains, but not as obsessive as a b/c! Much more people oriented than a b/c too so they are a lot easier to live with as they just wanna appease and be with you. I have videos of my girl on youtube, both training and playing ones that show she's got drive.
  10. Ok so now that I have photoshop, I've been taking WAAAY more photos! I only have a powershot camera, so I sorta rely on editing to make the photo 'pop'... So after training the other night, I left Paris in the car and went out with a couple of other dogs to practise taking photos of OTHER dogs... you know how ya get used to taking pics of your own dogs?! lol! "Brindle" is a mongrel... but he's utterly gorgeous and is doing soooooo well in training now too!!! chasing his ball: Brindle by flyingduster, on Flickr looking handsome Brindle by flyingduster, on Flickr And then there's this thing Brindle does... once he's fetch his ball and if you're not gonna throw it again, he'll flop onto the ground, roll onto his back, and stay there playing with his ball with his legs in the air. Goober. Brindle by flyingduster, on Flickr Brindle by flyingduster, on Flickr And then there's his good friend Wicket, another mongrel but a much smaller scruffier one! "ullo Brindle!" Wicket & Brindle by flyingduster, on Flickr haha, Brindle has a mouth full of grass clippings, spitting them out so he looks like he's curling a lip, and Wicket looks a bit shocked that his buddy might be curling his lip at him! Wicket & Brindle by flyingduster, on Flickr And just a cute portrait of Wicket in the evening sun Wicket by flyingduster, on Flickr yay for photoshop (and a new tablet! wooot!)
  11. masks! I looooovee masks! lol! Open your chosen background pic, and the dog photo in PS, and drag the dog pic onto the background pic. It'll automatically become a layer ontop of the background then. Then simply go to Layer/Add Layer Mask/Reveal All which will add a mask to your dog photo. Then using the normal paintbrush use black to 'paint away' [effectively 'erase'] the background, and white to paint it back on if you make a mistake. Use varying different brush shapes/sizes etc to get the best result close up around the dog. Easy and awesome. I'm sure if you google it though, there'll be more in depth descriptions with screen shots to work from too! lol
  12. loving all the amazing pics guys!!!! week two here: Week 2/52 by flyingduster, on Flickr was torn between it and another I got tonight though!
  13. yup, get a dremel, any of the ones marketed for pets are weak and useless for anything much more than fine cat nails. Dremels are great. lol
  14. lol! Wagsalot, it took me ages to work it out too! lol. Hence I thought it might be useful to make the screen shots.... soooo much easier to understand screen shots than written descriptions too! LOL! tlc, YAY! It worked!
