We lost a beautiful 17mth old sbt bitch last monday to a snake bite i had gone to pick my daughter up from school and when we got home the other guys meet me at the gate but no tallan we found her laying in the garded unfortunatley it was far to late for her she was already deceased i have lived at my house for four years and have never has a snake.So please everyone i beg you all to very vigilant and extra careful with your precious dogs.The look on my daughters face as we had to bury her was one i will never forget.RIP tallan taken far to early 4/6/2010 to 7/11/2011 .We are not sure what sort of snake it was but as browns are most profilic around here assume a brown

just my two cents worth to intrepidstaff,dont feel to bad a couple of years agoi was in the same place you are and posted about our first litter we had born i also faced some criticism however i also took the advice of people who have been in this breed far longer then iand know what they are talking about. i have been lucky enough to get the help of a few people who have been in the breed for a very long time they dont sugercoat their opionion and have been fundamental in getting us started in a new direction with our dogs to these people i will be forever grateful, i have thought long and hard about what direction to go with in the future and i know the people who are helping me will let me know their opionion on certain dogs i suggest intrepidstaff that you also try and find a person or people like this to help you and as readysetgo as already said blues are really not the way to go we as their are very very few quality blues. No one from what i can tell was being nasty in their advice more then likely they were thinking not another blue stafford breeder in a breed which is over run with them Please take the advice of people of people who really know what they are talking about who have put their blood sweat and tears into the breed imo

hi i have a friend looking to get a male gsd pup around late july through to august.shes only wanting him to be a cherised family pet so is happy to have him on limited registration,must have all health testing done(i told her was unsure what had to be tested in gsd) she is happy to freight from out of state .if anyone can point me in the right direction and also tell me what diseases etc that they have to be tested for that would be great.only going to a fantastic home their old dog recently passed after 16yrs so are a dog experienced family

i have staffords so know what you mean same thing happens to me but with my breed of choice . but at least the majority are the same or similare colour to a stafford even if they are a heinz nowwhere has i ever seen any bullmastiffs ever described as ever having blue in their ancestory i have noticed that while a few people have asked about theses pups on my friends facebook most have shown absolutley no interest when told the asking price thank god im still waititng patiently to see pics of the parent and to answers about my vaccination and microchipping query

hi was on my facebook last night and one of my friends put up a for sale add on her fb. PUREBREAD BULL MASTIVES for sale and had pics up of a littler of pups the thing was these pups are blue blue and white and pure white knowing she isnt a dog person i sent her a message asking whos pups they were and it turns out theyre her new boyfriends ,oh right i say so is the parents on view or have you got pics oh she says i can email pics of the PARENT like wtf it takes to sweetie (did i mention shes really not a dog person ok i said oh and whats he selling them for oh the males are 700 the females are 8oo by this time i was doing my best to hold my temper i just wanted to give her and him a serve about false advertising and that their is no way these pups are bull mastiffs am waiting to see pics of the PARENT should be interesting then i think they both might get told some home truths

i have also seen quite a few ceaser milan episodes with nasty little dogs including one where the lady who called him in to help owned a pitbull rescue and had rescued a little black chi that was the most savage dog in the place not only where all the people there scared of it so were all the BIG NASTY PITBULLS.im also pretty sure he dide a whole episode on savage chi/little dogs

hi i have been reading this and dont want to get into a debate or really offend anyone but i agree with 99 % of the posters its not the breed of dog and saying this we are owned by staffordshire bull terriers,i also have a 6 yr daughter and i would trust each and everyone one of our dog with her life. we also have a lot of pig hunters where i come from and while a lot of the dogs they own are not looked after the best and are a typical pig dog x 99 % of them are child proof as well. most of the dogs i have met that are the quickest to actually bite are swf either purebred or x and yes my uncle has a chiX maltese who i will not let my daughter near. they may be small but a bite is still a bit i believe everyone is entitled to their own personal beliefs and breeds of dogs they love however i know what sort of dog i would prefer my daughter to be around there is nothing worse them taking my dogs out and having people look at them like they are going to rip their throats out. hopefully in this town with our well behaved dogs we have shown that not all a ferioucious maneaters. im a big believer in its the way a dog is brought up not what breed it is just my opionion i realise not everyone feels the same

hi again our vet here doesnt ultrasound and will only xray if emergency,we only have the one vet in town.usually he does it through palpalition(sorry for spelling)

hi was just wondering if the blood test relaxin was 100 accurate i have a friend taking her girl down this arvo the vet said to wait until 32 days get the test down as it was accurate from 32 days. has anyone had a wrong reading come up from the blood test ie test said was positive/negative and it ended up being the oppisite thanx

well i have put the newspaper article on my facebook site a lot of people who wasnt sure who the old girl belonged to have contacted me asking about whose dog it was,even though most people had their suspicions im trying to organise a petition for as may towns people to sign so that we can give to the rspca,to hopefully have something done about her horses as well im not sure how many she has had die over the yrs from mysterious circumstances (read into this a few diff things mainly malnutrition. it may be to late to help this old girl but hopefully something can be done about her horses,the 2 other dogs she has and her cats and birds

i dont know if they have already been charged or are getting charged but it did say in the newspaper that the owner is facing charges. hopefully they will look into her background and investigate why so many horses have died in her care over the last 10 yrs this is a person who has upwards of 30 horses at any one time.i dont see why one person needs that many horses but apparently they do.it is only one peron riding the horses also

i cant get the newspaper articl to fit but a very old female red healer suffering from arthritis so bad it coultnt walk or bend,a living skeleton covered in dog hair weighing in at 11kilos,deaf and blind,covered in fleas,totally dehydrated,three reports from locals about the state of the dog and finally a threat to expose to a current affair got the rspca out to see the dog.the old ranger reckons its the worst case on animal cruelty she has seen in 23 yrs

hi this was in our local paper this dog used to live in my old neighbourhood.the person who owns her has had numourous complaints not only for dogs but for horses as well,its just a shame it took this long and at the expense of this dog for antthing to be done.this dog was 16yr,she didnt deserve to end her days this way rest in peace old girl.hope you have a better rest up there then you ever got down here

hi yes they have four dogs there all the time the womans partener is a shearer so i summise the kelpie is his working they have that dog ,the 2 mastiffs and a little bitzer.i dont know if they have a license we as far as i know there is no dog limit here as long as food,adequete shelter and water are provided.these dogs in no way look underfedd they are in great body shape. the ranger has been called out numerous times,why he has never impounded the dogs i have no idea,he has been seen at the house numourous times and has also been seen putting the dogs back in the front yard when they have been out and noone is home. As far as chasing people i have no idea if they mean to bite but for anyone but especially kids to have a dog of that size jump the fence and race down the road after them it is terrifying.the lady who owns them has admitted that the bitch is the one that bites(in her words you dont have to worry about him biting its her you have to watch) i think they proved sunday night they were both dog aggressive,i dont think they started out playing with the dog and decided to rip it in half(literally) thre ranger has been back out there since the lattice was put i dont know if he specified what sort of fencing they had to seperate the front from the back or just a fence so they couldnt get back out the front the fence is a good height they put up and if it had been tin would have been perfect(its about 8 foot tall) they didnt need to worry about jumping it though as they have gone straight through the lattice work,if i could get pics i would but it would be a bit strange me going over and taking pics of her fencing.

yes i would hjave thought they would have at least been impounded i can understand themnot wanting to deal with it if it was a heap of people just whinging but the behaviour has been building up for a while and came to a hea the other night as it is i will not allow my daughter to be out on our nature strip unsupervised and we live on the oppisite side of the road and 4 houses back from this house. yes the ranger and the shire have had numerous complaints about them not only from our area but from up to 4 blocks away it really does make you waonder how serious things have to be before the council takes it seriously i have just sent a letter of concern to our local paper will see if i get a response

hi again yes i was thinking earlier about emailing our local paper the riverina grazier the ranger didnt seem real worried about the dogs he was like well they are tied up now and i will keep an eye on it.he was supposed to keep an eye on them months ago when they first started getting out i will also send a email to the shire office i will print a copie of the email i send out so have it in my records like i said there have been numourous complaints about the dogs and it was only a matter of time until something happened. i dont no so much if the people are hoons or they just dont give a shit i think they are under the impression that because she brought the house she is above the law ever way like what has been said this man has lost his dog,even the vet assistant told me if it had of been her dogs it happened to she would have had them destroyed. i think as she is close to the mans daughter in law she is going to push for her to convince him to get it done before it happens again i dont know if there is a time period that it has to be done in for charges to be laid

i just got of the ph with the ranger he said he is keeping an eye on the situation,at the moment the dogs will be kep chained up ,there is some forms that have to be processed in regards to what has happened she has to have cages built for the dogs but until the forms have bee processed the dogs are allowed of the chain under supervision.they will not be DESTROYED both of them are still there
