  1. Lotties (19mth old Aussie Shep) is around 52bpm today - although it's a bit warm and she's breathing quite heavily/rapidly, so would be interesting to see when her breathing is a bit different!! I'm also going to see what it is after our bike ride today - that'll be interesting!!
  2. Your judge was soft LL!!! I was in the ring at the same time and we powered on despite the very very heavy rain! I had to really try to keep a straight face during scent discrimination because Ella was looking up at me and blinking and squinting and clearly not enjoying herself because of all the water in her eyes! Poor girl, she still worked like a trooper despite the torrential rain! She was :D Ah well, live and learn (and do lots of training in the rain ). Ella is a little trooper - and awesome!!! Such a gorgeous girl!! How did you go in the end?? Was good to catch up - will see you at the next trial
  3. Must have been something in the air Wuffles - oh wait, it was rain here . Well - we had an interesting obedience trial - it's been raining on and off all day, but was clear when we got to the trial, and just as I was about to step into the ring, it started spitting - all was fine and we started off, but as we got to the 'fast pace' the skys REALLY opened up!!! So we left the ring (as did the judge), to see if it would ease up a bit - well maybe 5-10mins later it had a little, but unfortunately I couldn't get Lottie to work in the rain The most annoying thing was I had only lost 2points in my heelwork - and we were sooooo close to finishing the heel pattern - why oh why did it have to rain right then!!!!!! and the poor judge just kept appologising to me about the rain and not finishing!! But I couldn't have been happier with the work she did prior to the downpour - was definitely going nicer then her first trial :D so unfortunately no qualie for me and Lot at our trial! I learnt an important lesson - I need to do training in the pouring rain :D Goodluck tomorrow sue and cindy!!!
  4. Gorgeous pics Nik!! And love it Huga Mine came out blurry 14/04
  5. Lovely shots huga - love the chalkboard one!!! And great shots also tlc!! Just catching up a little (well just from the last 5 or so days... thought I better put them up!!). 08/04 09/04 - our first ever trial!! :D Not the greatest photo, but just wanted to use it!! 10/04 - our prize from the trial!! Excuse how unimpressed she looks 11/04 - my new camera bag 12/04 - PUBCRAWL! This photo of my friend was taken with my point and shoot, and it's such a cute photo!! It was pure luck as I was just a little drunk 13/04 - nothing like sitting outside with the dogs to cure a hangover...... Oh, and also excuse the dates on the photos - not sure what happened, but my date thing on my camera changed and was saying last month I swear i've taken them on the proper dates
  6. Oh yay!! Yep I will come and find you!! I'm sure i'll be pretty nervous though I haven't done one bit of training with her this week yet, oops!! But will take her out later and do some I think!!
  7. Goodluck for your trial this weekend Sue and Cindy!! We have our second CCD trial on Sat night, so will be interesting to see how we go, as i'm a bit busy this week, and not sure how much training i'll get in!!! Great video RV!! You are doing so well with Toby! I'll let the more experienced people help you but I thought it looked great!! Have a great time away Ptolomy and Bedazzled!!! Look forward to hearing how you both go!! Great to hear Zara is coming along so nicely LP!! And speaking of seekbacks and articles - does anyone have a good like on how to teach them (I won't be teaching it for a while, but just thought i'd start reading up on them! ). Goodluck this weekend Wuffles, and hope the weather stays nice for you!!

  14. Thanks for the congrats everyone!! :D That's my homework for the week - so if anyone has any lovely footwork videos, i'd love to see!! Congrats on your quallie and 1st place DSO!!! Sounds like you had a great day!!
  15. Thanks again! It was just so nice to be a trial and actually competing, and not just watching Yay to the little mismarks - such good girls :D , and not sure about the heel pattern, but what I did seems to be what is usually done in CCD, it must be a QLD thing! It was by the figure of 8s she was loosing a bit of focus! We'll see how she goes this coming weekend! Just a little question - does anyone have a good video showing footwork for turns, I really need to get mine better but I like watching videos as it really helps see how to do them better!!
  16. maybe!!! I'll have to go back and listen!! Thanks for the lovely comments i'm pretty addicted now!!!!! I think maybe he did!! oops!! But yeah, it was hard to hear so now i'm not quite sure!!
  17. Lovely run wuffles - and a big congrats!! :D Aw Kathq, I didn't see you today - I was too busy trying to concentrate!! Congrats on a lovely run!! So I have a little brag.... me and Lot had our first ccd trial, and we passed and came 2nd with a 92 (which I know isn't the highest mark, but i'm still super happy and proud of her!!) I am just so proud of my girl - she worked her little toosh off (shame about her dodgy handler who needs to learn how to turn properly which is where we lost most our marks heeling!!), her heelwork was great with lots of enthusiam most of the time (except our firgure of 8s - oops, she definitely got distracted, a bit off track here!!), and as she came in from the recall, came in crooked so lost 3 points there... BUT her stays were soooo super solid with the dogs on both sides breaking!! Sooooo we have LOTS of homework this week The judge also came and had a chat to me after it had all finished and had some lovely things to say, so I can't wipe the smile off my face!!! Heres the video - I know I have lots to work on ;) .
  18. Sounds like you've had a great day xena98!! A big congrats!! I finally have a brag I can put in here... me and Lottie had our first ccd trial today, and we passed and came second - super proud of my girl

I just have a little video to share - Lottie worked BRILLIANTLY today, her heelwork was so nice (didn't get much of it as I was out of the shot alot!), and she did the best dumbbell retrieve . Just thought i'd share as I love working with her, she's such a fun little dog (excuse feral me ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzezGrpSvwY
