  1. Well - me and Lottie had a go in our first Novice obedience last night, and not only did she come out with a lovely pass, but also came in with a 1st place!! :D I'm soooo proud of my girl!! I seriously thought we wouldn't even get CCD, but to get a lovely novice pass, I just can't wipe the smile off my face!! She got full marks in her SFE, recall, and her dumbbell retrieve (which was GORGEOUS!!!), and lost 10points in the heelwork - all due ot my dodgy handling, and her not wanting to drop, I really need to fix that, considering i've broken it!!!
  2. Lovely round, Ptolomy :D Yep - each round i've had here for CCD has been long - all positions in each pace, and around the figure of 8, 3 times (maybe I was unlucky with those ones ).
  3. I do the same - but only one dog I don't know how you do 3!!! Tues/sundays is agility, Flyball is Wed, herding is Sat, and obedience I just do a couple quick few minute sessions a week - I was having ALOT of trouble with obedience - I have a nice big break with mainly agility, and we've come back firing is obedience, and Lottie never gets confused as what we're training for, we have little rituals before each thing, and all the training is held at different places which is nice! It's alot of work, but Lottie loves it, so I make it fit in with uni. Most weekends are out at trials, but I wouldn't have it any other way :D
  4. Go Ness and Kenz :D A big congrats on your title!!
  5. I had one on Saturday as well all I kept thinking was - stay with me Lot, stay with me Lot!! I have a bit of a question for the gurus :D I really need to work on Lotties drops - at the trial on Sat, during both rounds Lottie missed a drop - she just stood there looking at me, and the ones she got weren't as nice and snappy as I would like. I got the clicker out today, and really worked on nice sharp drops, to reinforce them again, but is there anything I should be trying?? Yep - I think this is what I need to do - my handling and footwork for everything needs tidying up!! That's for sure! Sounds like your training session was great, Murve!! :D
  6. Thank you for the replys Krustie and Ptolomy - I want Lottie to drop like she's been shot Krustie - I do that alot with lottie, but it just doesn't seem to be working at the moment - that's how I fixed her drops last time I broke them I will definitely work on them - I will take them away from the heeling and really get them consistent, and have lots of fun with them!! Ptolomy - I really need to work on my footing for the drops as well, as I just haven't got it to where it should be, and I think i'm sending mixed signals - it doesn't help that I think i'm nervous because I think she's going to miss them (if that makes sense!!).

  8. Thought i'd come back and see what my goals were - and looks like i've done all I need to for the year We finally got our CCD title, i've started competing in agility and even have a qualie, and i've started more herding!!! We also joined a flyball team and have our first comp in the next few weeks :D A big congrats on your CCD title, Murve - was the weekend for it :D :D
  9. Love them Gayle - what stunning pics, of stunning dogs
  10. WOW - what an awesome weekend Bedazzled and Ptolomy - a massive congrats :D
  11. Hi everyone, just thought i'd share this catchoftheday thing for today - a 60 page photo book for $25. Looks pretty good..... trying to decide if I should or not http://www.catchoftheday.com.au/
  12. Congrats SLLH!!!!! :D Well, as many of you know, I've been having quite a bit of trouble with obedience (to the point I thought I would give up), but yesterday I decided to give it another shot at a double trial, I went out just thinking about one thing I wanted to get right, and we ended up with not one, but 2 lovely passes to finish off our CCD title :D I can't believe she worked so lovely in the heat (it was around 32 degrees during our first trial). She got full marks in both trials for the recall, SFE and stays, and in one trial lost 5 points in the heelwork, and the other she lost 3 points in the healwork - both times it was her drops that let her down, she missed one in each trial, so that's definitely something we'll be working on!!! I really appreciate all the help I get on here - thank you Ptolomy and LP for all your help over the last couple months, yesterday I felt like we may yet actually make an obedience team, and i'm really keen to keep going now :D :D And what made it even nicer was the judge commented on the high standard of Lottie and another ladies BC who was also in CCD, and said our standard was so much higher then those that were competing in CD, I'm a very proud mum today :D
  13. A massive congrats on lots of awesome results!!! These DOLer dogs are so clever :D WELL.... I finally have a big brag (one I thought i'd NEVER get!!). Today, me and Lottie finished off our CCD title with two lovely passes out of two trials, and 2, 2nd places (what a shame about countbacks ) :D I couldn't believe she worked so nicely in the first trial, which started at 12pm and was around 32 degrees outside!!! Very proud of my little girl today. And last night, we had an agility trial, and she ran the nicest run she's done so far, just a shame she knocked one bar!!!
  14. sounds like I am a guru the Ladedadeda has spoken. I meant to say for the same reasons , sorry I can't really help, but that comment made me laugh!!! Good luck with your camera search :D
  15. just promise you wont laugh at me too much! ;) Don't worry Krustie, we've just started competing and having SOOOOO much fun (we even got our first clear round and qualie on the weekend just gone :D ). You will have a blast - i've only done ADAA trials so far, but will start going to some ANKC soon as well - agility is awesome :D and good luck for your first comp - we might see you there :D What is the one on the 16th - i'm off to look.......
  16. WOW - i've just been through the thread from when I last posted, and the photos are amazing!!! :D Can I be naughty and restart posting pictures - considering I failed miserably at the 365 day challenge, I want to keep going with this one - pretty please :D (I will update my flickr album with all the missing pics - i've still been taking, just not uploading and editing ). Week 32/52 - serious business waiting for the soccer ball (I'm annoyed I cut out her foot in this shot!) Week 33/52 - having a play around with the fisheye lens....
  17. Go Wuffles and Ava!!! What a lovely way to finish up novice :D And a big congrats on Kenz's pass, Ness :D Congrats TSD on your pass as well :D Well - I finally have a small brag as well, we've been having a break from obedience, and focusing on agility, and Lottie got her first ADAA jumping qualie today I was soooo happy with how she went, and she even managed to get her weaves the first try :D
  18. What beautiful pics!! Of some very gorgeous dogs
  19. That made me laugh - sooo cute
  20. He's very stunning!! Where is he from again ;) Oh, would've been great to meet you at Albury - next year for sure (if I can make it that is, hehe). I don't have any updated of Lottie actually - might go get some tomorrow :D But I will put them back in a photo topic I made in photos so as to not bombard this thread
  21. I'm sorry to bombard your thread (I love to read in here and look at all your doggy adventures) but I just have to say - Wow Betsy, look at Ziggy!!! He is looking amazing - what a stunning, stunning boy
  22. Well if Lottie got out and you found her, you'd think she was a stray, as i'd never leave a collar on her unsupervised at home - My auntie also lost a dog by it getting caught up with it's collar
