Ah, I see. In that case Buffy might not be an appropriate playmate for Kosmo. She does ok off-leash (at Kepala), but she's completely psycho when she's onleash and sees other dogs. I wouldn't want her to frighten Kosmo. Brighton dog beach is fenced, but I've heard good and bad things about it. I might go check it out someday and see if it might be a good place to meet up.

Hi, we are in Chelsea, not sure where you are but by the sounds of it we aren't close A play date sounds nice, but unfortunately Buffy has almost no recall so I can't take her to offleash parks. What's the name of the park near your place? Maybe you can take your puppy to Kepala, lots of friendly dogs there, but of all different sizes, I'd say more on the medium to large side. We meet up on a Sunday once a month. If you know of somewhere that's fenced without aggressive dogs, I'd be more than happy to bring Buffy out for a play.

Oh! Try two Pointers, Shaun, food, camera and the heavy wire crate! I tend to do two trips from the car to where we eat. Thanks Pointees! LOL. Yes, I was thinking about that too. Two trips is good. If it were me I'd be doing a couple more than that!

I've got a 50mm f1.8 atm, and should be receiving a new 18-270mm zoom this week (fingers crossed). Any advice on which I should bring, I'd prefer to just have one lens for the day. Thanks! A poultry place at Dandenong Plaza stocks turkey necks most of the time. Not sure if that's a bit closer for you.

Like many, I use freezer bags and defrost in a bowl or plate. Cheapest way I think. If your OH is concerned about the sight of blood, couldn't you just put a lid on the container so he can't see it?

Haha, thanks for adding me and Buffy to the list pip. Told my mum I was going, and she insisted on coming with me, not because she loves dogs (well, i think she loves Buffy), but she was worried about me driving so far by myself.....I swear she still treats me like a baby...so we'll chip in more for food, or both eat less

I'm still keen on bringing Buffy this Sunday if my cough goes away. But if we come, I might just bring $5. Hope that's ok. Can't think of what to bring. For those unaware, first time I brought Buffy to Kepala, she broke her leg (freak accident beside the pool) Do you think she would remember this, and associate the place with her painful experience? Do we usually have the other runs (i.e. sand and agility) booked too? If so, I might take her to one of those runs first to not freak her out too much. She was quite overwhelmed the first time there, too many off-leash doggies she didn't know what to do with herself.

Isn't Innova only available from that pet store chain that sells puppies and kittens? If so that counts me out because I won't buy anything from any pet store that supports puppy farmers. Everyone says that, but I'm pretty sure I've seen it sold at a pet store (that doesn't sell pets) in a SE suburb in Vic. It IS ridiculously expensive though.

That sounds like a good idea to me. I went to an obedience class once where the instructor brought her newly adopted puppy. He was in her arms though, cos not yet immunised, and he also had his crate, which he was put into when she started training class. Of course, see what her breeders suggest though. My friend doesn't wanna come with me! It's too far, even though I offered to pick him up/drop him off...... I still wanna go! I MIGHT just go by myself and hope for the best.

Evolving, you're bringing your new pup?? I wasn't planning to come this month cos OH can't make it (and I need someone else to be there in case anything happens to Buffy or she gets out of control), but I really really wanna meet her, and also Tika too! Argh, need to find someone to come with me!!!

Ah, I see. It did sound like a regular maintenance thing that I was neglecting. I've not noticed any scooting or excessive licking around that area. I guess she should be ok.
