When Buffy was desexed a few months ago, I wasn't aware they'd tattoo her ear, nor was I asked if I wanted it to be done. I only found out about it when I took her back to get the stitches out, and the vet pointed it out to me. I'm fine with it though. She's a Samoyed, so got so much fluff around her ears. I was trying to have a look for the tattoo just then (after reading this thread), and it took me AGES to see it. It's black, and very small. I guess in the unfortunate event she got lost, and we couldn't be contacted (unlikely since she's microchipped), at least they won't try to desex her again before rehoming.

Really enjoyed looking at all your photos misha&milo. Looks like all the doggies had a great time, as usual!

Hope everyone and every dog has a great time tomorrow. I was planning to come, but need to rush to get some work done for my supervisor, and I think I'll be overseas for the Jan meet. Haha, with Tika blowing coat, there'll be fluff flying around everywhere!

Just A Little More Help.. Last Time I Promise - Updated!
keroppiyo replied to Beth.'s topic in Photos, Photos, Photos
I got a Canon Kiss X4 recently (grey import), along with 50mm 1.8 from DD Electronics Only difference I was aware of between this and the 550D was that the Kiss X4 only comes in 2 languages: English and Japanese, whereas the 550D has heaps of other languages. Someone else mentioned the video format was different; one PAL and one NTSC, but I don't really use the video function, not really sure if it can be switched between the two. I've not bought from DWI, though I realised after my purchase it would've been cheaper to buy there. Maybe you can check on this photog forum to see what others have to say about buying from DWI? -
Hey Dju, you might want to try using a Dremel to grind Hugo's nails. Link I tried to get Buffy to accept the clippers, and I thought we were making progress. But then she decided she absolutely hated them, and wouldn't let me cut her nails. You need to get them used to the Dremel too, especially the sound, and vibration when it comes into contact with the nail. It also takes a bit longer compared to nail cutters, but if you can get the job done, it may be worth it in the end. You won't have to worry about cutting the quick with those things too.

Yeah, it's huge, that's why you can't see the gates. Some nice shots there Spitzbaby. Yeah, Buffy's fine now. She did diarrhoea again shortly after we got home (luckily outside!), after I rinsed her off, so rinsed her again... Then I had to go to work, and I'm sure she slept the whole time I was gone.

I'm completely new to using DSLRs, but I have a Tamron 18-270mm, and don't have any problems with it. As Kja mentioned, most people who know more about photography will agree that they're generally slower than the Canon lenses, and just be aware that the Macro on the lens you're considering is not true macro. Other than that, they seem to make great lenses.

Buffy doesn't look all too impressed either...
