i forgot to add when i got my bully back i took him straight to the vet and had him scanned they found the chip right where it should be it hadnt moved at all.

a microchip didnt help my pure bred mini bully when he escaped 2 years ago, he was missing for 3months , i never gave up hope and had notices everywhere finally one day i get a text from a guy at 6am on a sunday to tell me they were sure they had my dog, two hours later he was at my door, my dog had apparently been living with him for 6 weeks or more and he had taken him to a vet but the chip didnt scan which i dont believe , at any rate i got him back and two days later i got him desexed. My bully had a lot of scars and looked very thin and and had a few rough patches on him so he certainly had a rough time whilst he was gone.I am always finding stray dogs wandering around my area and when there has been no collar i have called my council to pick them up.

im just surprised that the shops near by being a hair salon and cosmetic shop dont also complain the smell is so overpowering from a few shops away.

my missing bull terrier did that too for a while he would wait till my staffy did her business and occasionally eat it, totally gross i know, now i can only hope his bad habits come up to the surface again so that perhaps who ever has him will get sick of it and hand him in .

Microchips - Is There A National Register?
starreys replied to vegemite_toast's topic in General Dog Discussion
i found out the hard way , after my dog a english bull terrier went missing from my yard last month on the 25th, i found out the following day that his details were not even in the system , somehow his paper work with the register in NSW wasnt logged and even though i had him registered with my council which included giving them his microchip number it meant nothing, 24hours later it was all fixed up but in the meantime i will never know if someone had taken my dog to be scanned if they had all they would have brought up was a number and nothing else. It definitely pays to check if your microchip has got the data attached to it. -
RIP Snoopy, im so sorry for your loss.

i have a english staffy in summer she likes to sleep outside at night but as soon as it gets cold come autumn she is inside every night, they are very much a family orientated dog and love nothing more then to be part of the family plus they dont have a thick coat , we had thick layer of ice on our cars this morning i cant even imagine leaving her outside at night even in kennel it wouldnt be warm enough, plus she likes to destroy her blankets when they are outside .
