  1. Congrats to everyone on their rising stars successes!! We are thrilled with our baby....well, he is 13 months now. He just collected Best of Breed at Sunbury with an entry of 19 Newfoundlands! With just 4 challenges, he is half way to his title and flying up the DOL pointscore board, sitting at number 6 Newf in Oz after 3 months of showing! Way to go Mason!! (RUBISS Deep Loves French Eiffel at Paddlepaws (Imp France)

  5. An update to "Mason's" career.. His 5th show was the Newfoundland Champ Show in NSW where he won Runner Up in Show and Puppy in Show! To say we are thrilled is an understatement!! Mason is 11 months old. After just 5 shows, he is already the number 9 Newf in Australia at the moment!!
  6. I just love coming to this thread to see all the stunning babies!! Congrats to those already in the ring and doing great, and good luck to those hitting the rings shortly! We have had a dream start to our Rising Star's show career! He got out of quarantine late July, first show two days later where he took RUBOB from Puppy Class, with a large Newfy entry, and 3rd in Puppy Sweepstakes. Second show was Utility Champ Show where he got Puppy of Breed Next was Lillydale, judged by a Newfy breeder from USA, Mason won BOB and Puppy in Group and was short listed in the final 6 for Best in Group! A brilliant win for a giant puppy under a Breed Specialist with a very large Newfy entry! Hoping he continues on this path! He is gaining confidence at each show, so we are happy. Mason is - Newfoundland (Landseer) Deep Loves French Eiffel at Paddlepaws (Imp France)
  7. oooh, I loved your Sheltie, such a gorgeous baby! Congrats!
  8. Congratulations alotanewfs on your Puppy being awarded Best of Breed (with a good number of Newfie entries), then to be shortlisted for Group and finally to be awarded Puppy in Group. Your boy is absolutely stunning - I couldn't take my eyes off him. Well done Thanks so much! We were thrilled, especially with the judge a Newfy specialist from USA! Mason was well and truly buggered by General Specials and was not in a show mood, but we didn't mind..lol So happy with him!

  10. Getting my Ford Escape fitted. Can't wait to have a clean back window once the dogs can't reach it to slobber on!! lol
  11. Very very excited to say I just had a call from Puppy Bars and am booked in for 2 weeks time for the fitting of the frame! So excited!!
  12. They originally told me it would be about 6 weeks, so a good while after the 6 weeks I made contact, but was told that he had gone on holiday (fair enough) and that when he got back it would be another 6 weeks.....so again I waited and after that 6 weeks, made contact and was told he would be in touch very soon to arrange the fitting of the frame. That was 3 weeks ago.... I don't want to be a pain to them as he is obviously busy, but guess I will make contact again and see what's happening.
  13. Thanks for the replies. Tell me about it!! (The wait) I've been waiting 19 weeks so far from when my car was measured...... That is why I was asking if there was an alternative....I just want it done!! lol
  14. Does anyone have any recommendations for someone that does the same sort of system as Puppy Bars for cars? Prefer Melbourne (Sth East suburbs if possible)

  19. So sorry to hear that you lost your girl. I used to believe that Renal failure was very rare in Newfoundlands, but after a lovely girl we bred suddenly died after 4 days of being sick, from renal failure, I researched and found quite a few that have had this, mainly overseas, but a handful here too. With Darcy, there was no signs either, beyond the 4 days when she presented as being ill. She went off her food and the vet ran tests and found a massive infection. Darcy was put on an IV drip and given antibiotics, but they then discovered that her kidneys had shut down. She was also fighting a respitory infection and just could not fight. So, although you feel bad, there may have been no signs at all that she had renal problems. How old was Isabella? If you want to e-mail me with any questions, my e-mail is [email protected]
  20. It won't download for me.....is someone able to save it and email the file to me at [email protected] please?
  21. I think it was Geelong that used to start each group's numbers with their group (so group two all started at 200 onwards, group four at 400 etc...) but that doesn't explain the 614 for a group two numbers....maybe they are going backwards, so all group seven starts with 100, group six with 200, group five with 300 etc....?
