It's good to see NSW clubs offering these classes, but it is still 5 1/2hrs travel for us Melbourne people. Still waiting for Victorian clubs, at least our National is offering Neuter classes.

Pro groomers tell me that the worst of the poodle cross coats are far more challenging to maintain than the poodle's. Correct. Some of the worst coats we have seen are poodle Xs. Firstly because of the unpredictable coat type produced by X-breeding and secondly because a lot of people buy these X-breeds under the false claim that they are low maintainance. They completely neglect the coat and only go to a groomer when the weather becomes warm. A mature poodle coat is quite easy to maintain when in a short trim.

there we go... i've said my piece on the Dogs Victoria facebook page... lol Just wondering why Victorian show organisers are NOT supporting the NEUTER class in up coming shows??? I have offered to support the class yet still no response. So far ONLY one All Breeds club has said they will support it... Ovens Valley 2011. I have had to travel interstate (Alice Springs and Albury) to gain points for my girl becau...se not a single club has offered the class... VERY DISAPPOINTED. Come on people... atleast give it a trial run before you can it?!?!?!?

Advertisements will be on Dogs NSW and Dogzonline websites, Dog News and in the October NSW journal. Dogs do not have to be showdogs, just good stable temperament.

Great news from our Program Co-ordinators today. The NSW Dept of Primary Industries has decided to follow Victorias lead and offer this program for Preschool-Grade 2. It is a wonderful opportunity to educate young children(& parents) about how to stay safe around dogs and responsible pet ownership. www.pets.dpi.vic.gov.au They will be advertising for suitable dogs and educators very soon.

Same here, why isn't Victoria offering any Neuter classes? So far NT, NSW, ACT and SA clubs all have scheduled Neuter classes at some of their shows.
