  1. There was a vote at the last ANKC meeting about compulsory Neuter classes, NSW was the only state to vote in favour. So far, no Victorian All Breeds shows have had Neuter class. We have shown our neuter girl in NT and NSW, she is over half way to her title. When we did these shows we also had other dogs in regular classes, so it is a way of attracting more entries. Try offering to sponser the class (as we have done). Recent shows in ACT had an entry of 22 neuters.

  4. I had a great time!!! Good to catch up with lots of interstate people I have only spoken to online. Free BBQ and booze b4 General Specials on Sunday was a nice touch:) Darkrai enjoyed his 3? sausages in bread rolls and a steak roll... LOL
  5. When it rains JUST for poodle judging and then stops for group!!! How are you ment 2 save a drowned poodle in that amount of time??? lol People saving 'prime real estate' spots for only the 2nd day of a show, so you watch an empty gazebo sitting the all day. People throwing bait around the ring like its rice/confetti at a wedding When your dog decides to go toilet in the ring after you have spent half the morning walking it around asking nicely to go wees Getting bogged in the carpark and having ppl give you that look that says DAMN I REALLY WANT TO LAUGH BUT KNOW I SHOULDN'T!!! Yes i'm whinging!!! lol. Heaps more but i think i'll leave it at that cos I have to be up at 5am for another damn dog show
  6. [quote . Bilbo, yes sometimes its not wise to follow other exhibitors, Ive done that before and learnt my lesson a few times LOL. Thank god for sat navs now! hahahah We have a friend who followed a dog trailer in a country town, thinking they would be going to the same dog show that she was. Ended up at the local greyhound track! The Vicroads Country directory is also very handy. Good luck everyone.
  7. I don't care about rain and mud, my dog doesn't mind all that but she hates war/hot weather! Us Victorians are use to the mud after recent months of showing in slop!

  12. Exciting... my 1st Spring Fair! was waiting on weather before I made the final decision. From OzShow... It is anticipated that all the information in regard to Breed numbers, and Ring allocations will be posted on the Spring Fair website by tomorrow: www.springfair.com.au. Please check the website for updates. No cards will be posted to interstate exhibitors, please collect at the Office. All interstate exhibitors who entered by mail have received an acknowledgement of receipt of their entry.
  13. No need to look at overseas research on the subject, Monash University has already done this. The Victorian Responsible Pet Education program uses their findings in their parent education programs.
