Hi all, The Poodle Club of Victoria is hosting the Poodle National on the 12/13th of March this year. Is there anyone out there (prefer closer to KCC for ease of pickup) that would be able to lend equipment to interstate exhibitors who will be coming over for our National????? We are after: groomings tables, show trolleys or puppy pens.... Have already asked our club members but equipment will be in use but themselves and other guests. regards Caroline (National Shoe Sec)

Have already tried and they all said we'll talk about at a committee meeting. Some shows supporting Neuter in Vic coming up: Poodle Club of Victoria (March) Ovens Valley (April) Nonsporting Dog Club of Vic (July)

Weather was fine for breed judging, but we had to wait until after lunch for group specials and it was getting a bit warm then. -
Don't think there is camping available. We have stayed at Central City caravan park in the past and found it to be great. Nice area near a creek to walk the dogs. http://www.centralcitycaravanpark.com.au/ Dog friendly camping (atleast it was when we stayed there last year)

http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=1652...125424530857369 Screening: Sun 16 Jan Movie starts about 8.50pm BRING YOUR DOG ALONG! Rules Apply ...There are a few rules we need to set down to make Dog Night safe for everyone - humans and animals. By ticking the box below, you agree to abide by the following rules: •All dogs must be kept on a short leash (2m or less) at all times. •A responsible adult must hold the leash and be in control of the dog at all times. •Dogs classified as dangerous or restricted, and dogs needing to be muzzled, will be denied entry. •Aggressive dogs will be denied entry. If a dog becomes aggressive or fights with another dog once inside the venue, the owner will be told to immediately remove their dog from the venue. Aggression can include, but is not limited to, barking, snapping, growling and snarling. Aggression will be judged by the Moonlight staff and their decision is final. •No chocolate or macadamia nuts can be taken into the venue on Dog Night. The caterer will not sell these food items on Dog Night. These foods are lethally poisonous for dogs. •All dog excrement must be cleaned up by the owner and deposited in the bins. This will help to protect the beauty and health of the park and the enjoyment of the cinema by other patrons. •Please help to protect our native fauna - keep your dog away from native wildlife. •Please bring a drinking container and plenty of water for your dog. These supplies are not readily available within the venue. Failure to comply with any of these rules will result in staff directing you to remove your dog from the venue.

Thankyou for your assistance. A friend emailed me with what I need to know Silly me could have asked at the show but forgot how experienced my friend was at being a show sec. March 12/13th 2011 I'm just doing the entry taking and typing up all the info... then passing it on to our cateloguer. Puglvr... happy to send you what I have created. May not make sense with some of my crazy formulas (FINALLY all my highschool Excel lessons are usueful!!!)... will also be making it work out the VCA levies once I figure it out. I'll give you a call 2moz for a chat... always great to hear how people do these crazy 'jobs' On another note... Thankyou to all the show secs out there... I now appreciate how much work goes into the role!!!

lol... well you didn't say who you were! -
Hi, Just wondering if there are any Victorian show secretaries out there that I can give a call and pick their brains about how I should be organising myself. Especially if they have done a large breed club show. I put my hand up to show sec for the 1st time at our poodle national. I have an awesome spread sheet for all the entries and money side of things... just want to know how to do the paperwork side of things. Is there a 'how to' guide out there??? regards Caroline

hi there you are right with that & the silver standard won minor in show too Awesome!!! I'm helping those guys out with their grooming -
You should come to SA more then. ;) Naracoorte has 3 shows over the 26th and 27th of Feb offering Neuter. The schedule published in the Vic magazine did not have Neuter classes listed, but have checked the SACA website and they are there. It is still a very long way for us to travel.

This happened with a Sweepstake class at a group specialty here last year. It placed the judge in a difficult situation.
