Kohanui. She doesn't breed or show much at all anymore (her kids are into sports, so weekends are full already!) her last litter was years ago, and she only has a few setters now with only one boy show-able really. GORGEOUS dogs though!!! Agree! And from the ones I have met they seem like very easy to live with dogs.

Do they show all breeds or just group and sports? -
What is your friends prefix?

Didnt work for me either RS. The qualifying score is 10 btw ;) 10?! Out of 100? 70 :D Lucky I don't have an important job where peoples lives depend on my typing skills.

I am considering Black Hawk. Allergy boy does well on lamb, ok on chicken and awful on beef so I think Black Hawk would be good However I also have a massive bag of chicken nutro to finish (Linc did awful on lamb) first and at 1 cup (if he is lucky! Less atm because of all the junk mum feeds him :D ) a day it's going to take a while! I madse Toby two crate mats this week too Pretty proud of myself.

Not a fan on picking But some suggestions. When you did your line up command your marking was a bit late. Try and get the good boy in straight away. Are you actually using marking? You seem to say both 'yes' and 'good boy'. Line-up and Round also seemed to be commands for the same thing. Is there a reason you aren't saying heel? When Toby dropped in his finish you patted him. Try to avoid rewarding the dog for the wrong thing. With the nose touch were he stood up your hand was too high. Toby is nicely attentive Thanks for the feedback! 'Yes' is a marker word, but I tend to use 'good boy' as an affirmation if I miss the initial opportunity to mark or we are past the marking stage (i.e if I ask him to sit). I will work on getting my words tighter though. I haven't really asked him to heel yet, he just chooses to stick by my side, I am waiting to give it a word until I am really happy with it. Last night in out session Toby seemed to click on fronts, so hopefully he will stay clicked until Sunday (week 2) of film so I can show off his improvement. I am about to go and do my morning session and I will work on the words especially. ;)

It's not really ;) buying cones is right up there on my to do list because I need them for Rally-O too but I keep forgetting. ;)

Is it that bad no-one knows where to start? Or everyone is in holiday mode and not thinking about obedience?

How adorable are all those ES!! Are they yours?

Great pics, but sh*t that must be close to you - keep safe The fire is under contol now, so it's not so scary. But it's part of living out here sadly. You can't have bush without potential fires and we have 20 acres next to us and 100 hectares behind us. ;)

Great pics! When are u getting new camera? Not until Christmas morning.

I will obviously be doing Rally. I didn't make it to (the last!) training tonight because there was a bush fire in the adjoining suburb and my aunty had to be evacuated. So I need some feedback on Toby's work so far. We started properly working on this stuff about a week before this video on Sunday but I would like for people to please pick us to pieces so I can see what I am doing wrong, I know that my fronts are awful so any tips would be appreciated. :D

Retrieving & Field Training Talk
RallyValley replied to RubyStar's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I like hairy dogs :D Plus they are prettier in the show ring ;) Where did you get your bumper boy from? It sounds like you are having a really good time with your boy, I can't wait to have the chance again. -
If you post more details or email them to me at [email protected] about these Rally O Ribbon trials and what the QLD committie is up to I would love to pass it around the WA committie. :D

Definately vet tomorrow. An infection in the nail bed can spread to the bone. In the meantime maybe stop her licking it and saltwater wash.

These pictures I just took from my backyard. Fires are so scary. :D PC134024 by rallyvalley, on Flickr PC134022 by rallyvalley, on Flickr PC134000 by rallyvalley, on Flickr

I really love this one too! :D

There is a big fire in Goosberry Hill. I know a couple of DOLers (and my aunty) live up there so sending positive hope these helicopters flying over the roof do the trick vibes. Also big :p it isn't going to come down the hill and get out property. ;)

There is a thread in dog sport. I posted in it today and a thread in general is wayyyyyyyy more likely to be lost. :p Come on over and have a look. But awesome you are so enthusicatic about Rally

I have just the clicker for you, I got a new one with my Clean Run order and I think its too soft!! It hardly makes a noise, I actually meant to post a thing in training thread about it but I forgot - can a clicker be too soft?? I stopped the clicker after that one click and switched to a marker word but it's ingrained now... silly dog with an awesome memory
