Mas I love your first Cheetah shot! A great capture, it really looks like it is in the wild! ;) And that orangutan (sp) just captured the mood of that poor animal ;)

I am super stoked that Mason could think my photos would be as good as I am sure yours will be CC ;) I really like the cheetah but I am a bit sad that in my best shots of him I have that glass distorsion on the left hand side. ;) BTW I only noticed after I got home but that native bird has such funny feet! (4th from the bottom)

And YOU missed out on the yummy Mars and Snickers cookies I bought by not coming over the join the partay! We joined after you had left I can take a hint I assumed she missed out because she didn't mention my cookies! But I guess they weren't mind anymore when I left Had to go up to the office to hand my obedience entry in, it was the closing date so nothing like leaving it to the last minute I am so the opposite, when I was showing I would do all my entries like the day K9 arrived! ;)

Thanks for the advice! The E30 is going well but I have to confess I haven't used it that much I am hoping to get the lenses at the start of my trip so that I can use them to take holiday snaps... I am having a look online for stores in LA. I am spending two weeks in NY but it's at the end of the trip....

Ok so here is week 4 and 5. I will look through in a minute and see everyone elses pics I have decided I am going to use my 52 weeks to show Toby's everyday life so that I will always have a memory of what it is like to live with Toby. Week 4 The highlight of Toby's day is when my dad gets home from work and throws the Cuz for him, this is a pic of him waiting for my dad to throw the Cuz out the back, it's in the evening because it is so hot you can't go out earlier. Week 5 This is Toby's lookout post, he sits on the edge of the couch and stares out the window to see what is going on in the world, especially when a family member is out and he is awaiting there return.

It is likely (pending work letting me have the holidays when I want) that I am going to America in November. I was going to buy and import a couple of lenses mid year but to me it seems like it would be much easier to buy them there (and I can get nice $1000+ ones withour worrying about import duty). Does anyone have any problems with this issue I haven't thought of? Also does anyone know of any camera stores in Los Angeles? (My first stop) Or alternately should I order from somewhere like B&H and get the lenses shipped to the hotel?

Well done again Sandi and kids!!!! Isn't Scoota just a smarty pants

Yes the fire is pretty serious It's heading away from me (and a couple of other DOLers) but it is moving very fast. The states has declared some area's as 'emergency' status which means that they can force you to evacuate. It's heading north westerly and at 10.45 was in Baskerville heading a in a NW direction. It has covered a lot of ground and is moving really fast. I hope everyone in that area is ok :D Was hearing all about it at work last night.

All the time now when I blurt something or do somthing to show what a dog tragic I am people say "oh how many dogs do you have?" and I am just like "one" and then I get "only one " ..... when last year I was getting "three "

I have never expirenced things as bad as the stories in this thread, in my opinion if you take a dog to a show people will give you thier opinion like it or not, true or not. If you can accept that you won't have too much of a problem.

OT but.. I have met a lab with what is beleived to be EIC (no test done, it's only a pet) and I was with him once during an episode the symptoms were more seizure like, the dog I know which likely has it sort of freezes from the rear end forward but his eyes stay aware and he looks frightened. After a time lapse (I think at the longest was like 15 minutes) it's like he begins to unfreeze and gets back feeling slowly in his front limbs (upon which he gets up and tries to walk but can't ) and it moves back until his rear end has feeling again, the time I was with him we then helped him stand and he just gave us this cheeky look took a few wobbly steps and was off running again. I've never seen it myself (thankfully)....but must of been quite scary for the owners I would imagine and yourself seeing it as well. It was pretty awful We were walking in the bush and about 25-30 mins from home and it was raining. Glad Banjo is better to the OP Toby pants like an idiot after exercise and then comes good.

What's Wrong About Giving Dogs Human Names?
RallyValley replied to W Sibs's topic in General Dog Discussion
I have a few very special names I'm holding back in case I have kids But I like my dogs to have names that have thought and meaning. I know that when I eventually get my English Setter (one day) I would love to name her Agatha (Aggie)
