Yes I am getting quite a library of dog books... I find the more sports you dabble in the more you need
-
Hmmm possibly me. If you need the numbers... it's like charity work, helping out... so it's a good thing

Toby is lying practically on me, Zora is near me on the lounge.

Well done FHRP and Polo!! You must be so proud of your super talented boy. rubyroo- Zora is settling in well, you will notice how everyone who has met her says how I am going to have 'fun' with her, this is because she is a bit feral and constantly on the go or asleep She loves her toys and has such a lovely soft mouth (most the time). This week I will start doing some play retrieves with her later this week and yesterday I took her into the big field nextdoor and she had her nose to the ground looking through the long grass.... to find kangaroo poo (). -
Thanks again CC and OMG best pictures! I really enjoyed the day too and you are welcome back anytime, hopefully next time we will see some live kangaroos. Can't wait to hear more news about your pups CareyJ, Mason2009 and Boxagirl.

-
Glad to hear you and the kids are ok Ptolomy. Hope they catch the bastards for you, jackpots all round for the red kids ;)

Do you mean come to the class with you? Would Carolyn have an issue with more people there? I actually would really like to see one of her classes as you guys think so highly of it that I have to see it for myself! I am heading to training around 10am so hopefully will be finished by then (retrieving training so it does take longer). I think we'll be halfway to her class anyway (was it in Armadale or something?) I can just leave Ruby in the car, she'll be right ;) Let me know! I cant see why she would mind but I will ask and double check. Last time I saw people bring friends, thier familes ect. The only thing is there is limited parking so its probably better to go in one car.

T... Flirt N With Danger Her dam is T... I'm Just Flirt N and her granddam is T... Flirt with Me, so I followed along that theme. Make sure you report back on the day :D Definately, going to take my camera. So excited to see a trial in action. Fingers crossed for Molly. Hopefully it's nothing horrible. -
We are doing Train a Pup time with Carolyn that's down your way. It's Sat at 2.30 so maybe you and Amypie can come along... then you can get lots of puppy cuddles Definately interested in a play with Ruby, sounds like she plays the same way Toby does with pups Definately have to tee that up too. :D Sounds like a potential playdate for when Zora is a bit older has had a bit more expirence with other dogs, would hate to accidentaly scare her this early. I don't think anyone would turn thier nose up at double the puppy cuddles. ;) Glad to hear Indy is better Will definately let you know, I need a nice DOL profile pic for Zora - happy for you to waterstamp it and link to your flickr too. :D Will have to see Varda too. Pups need to learn manners and dogs like Varda are perfect for that Zora will be ib baby puupy still but will be entered in the Royal. Go Cider and Strauss! So glad to hear that for you.

I have to say people with numerically strong breeds and people with less common breeds will never see eye to eye. Bottom line is at the end of the day your dog either beat lots of dogs and got large challenge points minimum 4 times to title or 18 judges signed a 6pt cert stating they believe the dog is worthy of the title Ch.

Everyone meets in Toodjay (sp?) and its on a farm around there. A dog from the same breeder as Zora that is distantly related will be competing as well as at least one other Britt. -

Next weekend I am going to watch a field trial with a friend and we are taking the pups for some socialization. -
Glad to hear Indy is better Nice to see Lulu and JT in the thread ST :D Lulu and Zora are going to be such great buddies Not next weekend but the one after they are going to watch thier first field trial. Plus they are going to puppy classes togther and will have lots of play dates. Speaking of play dates if anyone has puppy friendly or indifferent dogs, or just wants puppy cuddles I am trying to organise lots of play dates for Zora. Zora is being very good, the amount of accidents she has had inside I can count on one hand. She loves her big brother Toby who is acting like a mumma dog and nicely letting her know when she is pushing the boundaries. He also is a big sook and rolls on his belly and lets her jump on him and plays so gently with her. Today I left my mobile at home and came home from work in my lunch break to grab it, in the morning I put two chicken frames and some necks in the sink to defrost. Mum hadn't seen the necks and I came home to find Zora munching on a whole frame which mum informs me she almost finished! I did a training session this morning for breakfast and she was frantically mugging me for food. She also loves playing tug too ;) She does have a baby pup attention span though. Tomorrow is my day off before my night shifts so I will be sure to get some puppy pics.

I used Amypies housetraining method which worked well. Went to bed at around 12 then 2am and 4.30 toilet runs.

Zora arrived today! She seems very promising already :D Very confident and has been bringing me leaves and things. She has also been pointing at random things. Here is a picture: There are more in the Brittany and WA threads. -
Toby loves her He is happy to have another dog around again, especially a puppy. But I am a bit nervous of Toby bowling Zora over so I have been limiting thier playtime. LR - She is a bit of a ratbag to him but he is being very grown up. Her teeth are sharp but being a gundog her bite inhibition is awesome, so she isn't biting that hard. TSD- I have read the Focused Puppy cover to cover twice and taken notes But I agree, it's all about letting them be babies and grow up slowly. I love playing with and watching puppies.
-
Well done Inevitablue and Terranik!
-
No problem with my face being shown, as long as Zora is in the pic too ;) She has already had her first session with the clicker, the 'Name Game' from the Focused Puppy book.
-
Ok Zora has finally crashed OMG she is just a bundle of confidence and joy! Her tail does not stop and she has to be into, onto, around everything. She is also noisy and has a scream that would rival the loudest Toller when she is crated! She has finally gone to sleep in her crate. Big thanks to Amypie who came with me to get her! She took lots and lots of pics and I hope she posts a couple. The pictures I have aren't great. She was also sleepy but resisting sleep so looks a bit grumpy.

Sounds good. Will have to try and tee it up.
