  1. Sick of my PC crashing! Plus Macs look pretty ;) It's like software for show entries- it calculates the age class and fills in the dogs details, you just type in the name of the show and how much it costs.
  2. What do Mac users do their entries on? Entry form Australia seems to be a windows thing.
  3. Watching in interest... suspect Zora's first season will be similar (except no entire dog in the house )
  4. So you'd recommend the DVD then? I'm looking for some more foundation stuff to do with the new pup that I never did with my two. Started watching Success With One Jump the other night and thought it looked good! But I need some real puppy type stuff. Pup is almost 9 weeks old Mary Ellen Barry's DVD is excellent. I really like this DVD too! I am using a mixture of this, Agility Right from the Start and agility classes for Zora's agility foundation.
  5. Ah ok. How exciting to see different breeds :D Who else is coming to training besides me and ST? Yes I will be Haven't trained in ages it seems. Plus excuse for Zora cuddles ;) Congrats to Charlie and your sis, ST! I am bringing some biccies tonight too! Sort of a catch up for all the celebrations I missed and to buy you back into my favour because I think Zora might be a screamer.

  7. I was and I have felt a stim on my hand first. It does not hurt but it's an odd feeling, sort of like a split second of pins and needles (like a dead foot), but I still don't like not knowing when it's going to happen - I would be fine if I had the remote. ;) However saying that I have absolutely no desire to ever use an e-collar again, I just wanted to see what it was like. Anyway I guess the point is with all these controversial tools I have no desire to see them banned, because I believe in free choice, just because I believe these tools won't suit me and my dogs (and I have no need for them) it does not mean it's exactly what someone else might need.
  8. No, I tried it on my upper arm. I tried the e-collar on my neck. ;) Never tried a prong but done the e-collar - the anticipation is way worse then the stim but it's an awful feeling waiting for the stim.
  9. Yay Charlie! Also yay your mum and Julia! It must have been a thrill! How many dogs were there?
  10. Bad girl Tiggy!! Mine has gone towards my new puppy Mine should have gone towards America but my laptop died so I splurged on a new Macbook
  11. Where are the collars worn? I notice all these people making comparisons to the dogs ruff as their neck but it would be the underside of the throat I am worried about (with any collar).
  12. Curious if anyone has tried a prong on thier neck? Not a tool I would use personally but not something that needs to be banned.
  13. OMG Ptolomy, can't believe it. I am so sorry for you and your family. I am lucky to have met her and to have learnt from her. She was a very very special girl.
  14. TLC- Bron's toy is awesome! Your lot always look so happy. Naomi - the pup is my Brittany Zora, she is about 13 weeks. :D Her eyes are slowly going yellow. Justice is looking very ghetto snook! He looks great in red ;)
  15. Mas - I am not sure about states. I don't think Toby will be ready and think I might be pushing my luck. I will wait and see how he goes back at training.
  16. Ok so you think it's the same to mate litter mates and dogs that have 1 common ancestor back in the 4th generation? I personally don't think so which is why we use terminology such as linebreeding and inbreeding. As a student of genetics I know all mating of animals with common ancestors is inbreeding, which is why the calculation to determine the degree of common ancestry is a coefficient of inbreeding.
  17. Thanks for the feedback guys It's lovely having a pup around (most the time ) Will try and do week 31 pics feedback. Gila - I love Spence's colouring and the contrast - he has lovely amber eyes! Clicking Mad - Love both shots! They both look so regal but Lotus just goes so nicely with the chair and her eyes and nose just seem to match perfectly. However the was Chester is sitting is so regal. I finally have my 14-42 lens back (that equivalent 28-84 for non 4/3 shooters) so I will finally be able to do some different sort of shots!
  18. At least he waited long enough for Zacyah to enter the world. So sorry for your loss, it's absolutely awful. Big hugs to Zeus and sympathy for you and the family.
  19. I have the pup in her PP50 and the older dog in a harness. I am hoping to add a second PP50 at some stage and they can both ride in them.
  20. yes, but where are these references from? Off the top of my head I have read it in 'The Joy of Breeding your own Showdog' at least... I am sure I have read it in other places too.
