My Brittany loves my friends English Setters However a brittany is relatively short coated and I need to spend at least 1 hour prep for each show (washing, blow drying and trimming)so I shudder to think how much a setter is ;)

Say hi to Zora's family! I think even her sire will be there!!!
-
Toby has (kind of) learned a dumbell retrieve via Shirley's method I really like it! Zora will be learning the same lesson as soon as her teething is done. CCD and CD triallers any tips to help an upcoming trialler? I made a list broken into dot point critera of what is required and Toby can check off almost every point (needs a bit more work with SFE).

I found shooting RAW annoying on PC but now I am on Mac it makes no difference to me I use Aperture when I need to convert to JPEG and for (basic) editing!

Yes you can see from the look on her face she is not even aware she has something in her mouth... she just always has

DMA How is the E5 going? I am trying to decide if I should get some new lenses next year or... change brand! I am a bit worried about the e5 being the only recent edition in the four thirds range that they are going to stop making four thirds and only micro four thirds. Really enjoying my e30 though! Just sick of the e420 kit lenses.

I think the differences I noticed have more to do with breed/temprament/early socialization rather then any gender differences. Both my girl and boy are cuddly. More boy is more of a sook but he also has anxiety problems

Congratulations Beth and Lottie! Toby did his first SFE for mum a few days ago.. no feet moved at all :D Getting there. I love this picture ST took for me , Zora is heeling and Toby is trying to get in on the act

Thanks guys. It feels good to have something to put in here, even if it's not quite at the level of everyone else!

Retrieving & Field Training Talk
RallyValley replied to RubyStar's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Today Zora was doing some wing work with a couple of Wei puppies (as in field type stuff) she just goes nuts for the wing but is starting to get the lesson. She was very good at tracking it out and finding it in cover. The hard part was getting her to stop still when she found it. But she was doing it a bit more reliably at the end of our session. -
Awwww what a sweet photo, how lovely to see her so relaxed at such a big show Thanks CC. RS both me and Sonja had completely forgotten about that RS I'm surprised you didn't steal one Isn't ST's boy JT just stunning Such a photogenic boy! There is a few out takes though where he is pulling goofy Wei faces

Well done Tassie and Kirra (and anyone else I missed from earlier ) I have a bit of a brag too Yesterday Zora was at the Perth Royal show... she was totally unfazed at all by the crowds, noises, kids, rides, screaming ect. I even took her into the obedience area and did some heelwork and obedience with her - and she was fully focused She also got baby of breed and some nice comments from the judge.

Today was good! Puppies all behaved like angels and coped very well with a day that would stress lots of dogs. It was a bit of hard luck though for me and ST, there were three babies for baby in group, JT, Zora and a Lab and it went to the Lab Zora made a new friend or two and one person could not believe her and Tika had only met that morning.

A Bravadobe one, if you check back in the thread the BIG winner is posted and it will be that one ;) Well done to all the winners today! I am very happy with how well Zora and the wei babies did today, at 5 months they were so relaxed, sleeping most the day away in the benches. They were not phased at all by the crowds or kids rides noises. :D
