  1. Wish I could come! But I am working that day.
  2. Just a little anecdote and a reminder to trainers to video their training more often. I filmed some training with Toby and I thought he was doing rubbish and I was getting frustrated and upset because I have seen him do brilliant work and don't know why he is suddenly being lax. So I gave up and decided to do a game instead, then tugged a bit and threw a ball for him. Then watching the video back the heel work was much better then I was seeing and I realised that having an open container of chicken popcorn, a wool ring and a ball is a HUGE distraction so I should have been crying tears of joy he was doing any work. And at the end when I did some motivation games with him he was sooooo into it! Plus his stands have come together finally Trainer: -2 Toby:
  3. Me too, plus Carla is so nice Dobro Goldens are also based in WA now, also very nice people.
  4. Ok for all the Gundog people I'm doing a Cabelas order next Friday the 20th, anyone who wants something PM/email me exactly what you want.
  5. My first 'compete' photo - those little buds are all competing for resources And an 366 days outtake from before I had my challenge word but it is fitting:

  8. I had an awesome time everyone. It was great to meet some new Doler's as well as the ones I know and see all the dogs playing so well! RS Zora loves little dogs so she had a blast with Pippa too! She then went back to ST's and her and Lulu played most of the afternoon!! ncarter Zora is great for building confidence in dogs so if you being her to a meet Zora will bring her out of her shell. ChristineX I can't believe how well Duke did! He is such a handsome boy, a bit disappointed I have no pictures of him
  9. Mason and Gibbs Millie Monty Herding Flying Pippa! Zora and Pippa

  11. Congratulations everyone! The way that the rings were split sounds like a really awesome way to do it! I hope they do that here in Perth
  12. No problem MG - driving far is a pain! It's why I rarely venture north of the river.
  13. Thanks TSD, very glad the Brittany standard specifies that the dog should be thin, have a clear waist and no roll in the loin. I always love to see Em in such excellent condition too! Would love to see Em and Zora meet up at some stage, maybe the retrieving national this year ;) (Not that Zora will be entered!!)
  14. We need more videos of Em TSD!!! She sounds like you have been doing a brilliant job. Well ST and I met up with some other Utility Gundog for a retrieving session with 'game' (a dummy covered in rabbit) and some tips for the fieldwork and retrieves. The couple helping us out own and bred GSP's and used to breed Brittany's (their last one passed away a few weeks ago ). This is their older bitch Chelsea (a field trial Ch and retrieving titled) strutting her stuff; Lulu returning with the dummy; and Zora racing around with the dummy (which she returned... after a victory lap first) It was both bitches time having a dummy launcher used and they quickly caught on, it really hyped Zora up hearing it being wound up and they both were raring to go. I am also a bit proud because even though Zora was a bit cheeky I was told she is showing good promise.
  15. Ok bulk upload Day 5 - a bit of an oh damn I almost forgot a photo so I will take a photo of the last thing I see before I go to sleep. Day 6 - The strange things you find at my work! (Taken on my iPhone at 10.30pm. Possibly a last minute one again! ) Day 7 - Did some training with other Utility Gundogs, my favourite capture of the day, and the best trained dog.
  16. I also have a long line in my car usually. Speaking of long lines who else is up for a Cabelas order?
  17. Hmmmm is my channel in this thread somewhere?
  18. Zora's fav game is to outrun all the other dogs - last weekend at South Beach though she found a black and tan Pinscher that could outrun her
