  1. How horrific. That poor family, my heart goes out to them. I saw my dog hit by a car at 19 and I had nightmares for a very long time and would break out in a cold sweat whenever I heard squealing tyres for even longer, I can't imagine how a 15 year old would cope with witnessing that . There is a massive difference between a single fatal bite, shaking a dog to death and a disembowelling . I hope the owner of the attacking dog is found and charged with something - how can you just leave without apologising and if your dogs that aggressive why was it in a public place.
  2. The latest is that NSW might be in support... :S
  3. I agree showdog in the past 12 months I know of several Brittany's imported from NZ and Europe that are docked that have been brought in primarily for field trialling. I think of the ANKC wants less members this is the way to go...
  4. This was my day 50 And now I'm going to have to bow out after 50 days :) As much as I was enjoying it my poor puppy's obedience career is suffering as I find I'm taking photos/editing photos instead of training. Plus I've got a house move coming up and a whole heap of overtime... so I figure it's easier to bow out on a nice number. Thanks for the inspiration ladies!!
  5. Your pup on day 59 just looks like they want a hug tlc!! Day 48 Day 49 Since tomorrow is half way for me (Day 50 Yay!! ) I might try and plan a special shoot. I'm really proud of myself, this is the longest I have committed to a photo project :)

I'm hoping the adaptor for my dad's old Tamron Adaptall 70-210mm arrives soon it would be perfect for this! It's so old school, manual apature and manual focus
  7. I'm happy to share. :) It was taken in manual mode at 1/2000 f2.8 33mm ISO 200. I had quite a few test shots to get the focus in the right spot... then dumb luck!!

  12. Great Day 49 tlc and Huga!!! Must be the optimism of almost being halfway Ok here are mine. Day 37 (Note - this is ric rac ribbon. It's a really boring image but it makes me excited as this ribbon will make puppy collars for my litter this year. Plus I realised at bed time I had forgotten my picture. ) Day 38 Day 39
  13. JEALOUS MUCH!!! It's quite a crazy place! I've got a lot of photos of stuffed animals. Somewhat creepy. Didn't buy a thing for Em but it's a great time for clothes shopping as the stores have to pay tax on their stock at the end of January. This is dear old Rolex - very likely in his final months. Cataracts and arthritis but he's still happy and bright with meds to help him through. Nothing wrong with his hearing either - yelled at me this morning for not letting him out as soon as I got up  His young sidekick, Roxie - I thought RV might particularly enjoy these pics. She is full of hunt and endless energy at 9 months old. Her breeder is thinking of having a few litters from her (they live down the road). I've been encouraging her owner to train her up for a hunt test :) "Where's that barn kitty got to?" "Ah hah! There he is!" (Followed by a swift swipe from the disgusted black kitty) How adorable is Roxy!! Yes those Britts sure do have hunting instinct in spades
  14. I forgot to say I love this one too :) They look so cute side on with all that shaggy hair :)
  15. when is your girls litter due?? She's due in season around May... She will be bred when next in... ok so if she is mated in May she will then be due in July, but if you are training her beforehand you could then throw her season off wack, that is what happend when we trained our Pappy bitch last year, she was due inseason in July, did her ET a couple of days before she was due. She ended up coming into season in Sept My bitch us a bit all over the place season wise anyway. Over the winter she will be built up to peak condition regardless of the ET as she will be training in the field which is usually around 4 hours of hard running in a typical session at the peak of the season.
  16. I just love day 43 tlc!!! Especially the last one. Here is my Day 33
