Ptolomy, ST and RS- Huge thanks. I had a really good time at training last night and needed it after a stressful horror day at work yesterday. I was all motivated too and did some obidience stuff with Toby last night after I got home. I think I will be competeing on Sunday. Ness- I need 60 of the screw in jump cups, i don't think you would have that many and I don't think that they would fit in an envelope either. I want two duck dummies made by the same company that does does iSqueaks to do some retrieveing work with Lincoln. Lexi is so adorable and pocket sized, I am thinking if I brought an orange stuffed toy and witched it out Ptolomy not might notice till it's to late!

If you only want to order jump cups, you can contact them and they will quote you an envelope price. The system only calculates for a box of stuff, but jump cups can fit in an envelope. I think I was charged $7.95 postage for 2 packs of jump cups. When you check out, you just note that you were quoted your price for posting in an envelope. They initially charge you the full postage, but when they actually go and process it, the smaller amount is deducted. It was more along the lines of well if $32 if the flat rate I might add...

Contacts don't bother me I am thinking of coming down if I can be bothered. Oh yeah I forget that. I haven't had any rain either Lab rat I'm near Jandakot / Banjup It didn't rain down at K9 or in Helena Valley. Amypie you might know this.. I need to do a clean run order for some jump cuos, is the $32 postage a flat rate no matter how much else I order? (I know I'm bad)

I have one of them too AD is after ADM (36 ADM dogs so low too). There is 1 x 200 dog and then you for AD (1st of 2x300 dogs) JDX (15) is after JDO (29 dogs). You are 1st in JDX (so get to show us how it is done ) and there are 3 x 300 dogs I am on WA Click but I cannot see this. I may have one of the 9 JD dogs. Tiggy we all rock up around 7pm.

Thats me. I love driving and listening to music. My CD player in my car is broken and last Monday on the way to K9 I forgot my iPod so I had to sing to entertain myself People must have thought I was such a weirdo at traffic lights when they heard someone singing out of key and in Greek

Ususally the best bet is to ask the pups breeder what they feed as they will know the best diet to help the dog grow in the best way for breed.
-
I would be very iffy about a non refundable deposit, fair enough if you changed your mind but what if something happened to the pups and they were no longer able to provide one. Could they still keep you money?

My childhood assigment was about "Farm Dogs" and featured a picture of Lilly who was at the time a 4 month old puppy.

Lincoln is leaving at the beggining of September (not sure of the exact date because I am not sure how long it will take them to to drive to be in Adelaide by the 8th). If you want an adult Chessie to shoot instead his dad is very well trained and super handsome. It would be so exciting if you could shoot him your photogtaphy is awesome and this series is coming along great.

So in love with the Chessie what a beautiful dog, now on the wish list. They are an awesome dog.

Typical I'm sending winning vibes to Lincoln's sire.

Anyone know Group 3 results ?

My boys sire got BOB Chessie

Maybe it was in Swedish and they had to learn the whole language to be able to read the document.

I will probably be doing GDC show too, only with no dog and just for the catching up with the gun dog people side of things. The agility trial is at K9 and you have to come and meet Strauss since he wil probably be hanging around with us at shows a lot. ;)

Exactly, as well, the dog should not stop before dropping. The ideal moving down has the dog IN MOTION slide to the drop position. Deductions occur for anything less than that. Well yes, just like formal obedience I have no idea about this other exercise you guys are talking about, perhaps I should read the rules and be training :p I assume this is a station we didn't cover in the seminar? We did RS. Maybe you need to brush up on your novice stations Which station is this? You guys are talking about walking backwards, and I don't recall us doing that in any of the courses we ran! I thoought you meant the moving down. The backwards with dog at frint is novice, backward with dog at side is advanced. ;) I'm the one who gave you a link to the moving down we did at the seminar, and as discussed above Yep its the backward with dog at side that I was confused over! Yes i was thinking I swear RS sent me a link of this. But after watching Ruby I got sidetracked watching clips of Lincoln and then I got sad Angelsun did you know Lincoln currently closer to you then me right now.

They should need more the 45 mins for that! :p

The cheek of it! Lilly went into the vet on Monday, was checked over, had a abcess drained a little with a syringe, was given antibiotics and 2 courses of tablets and was 20 mins tops accoring to my dad (which he was unimpressed with). When Lincoln went into the vet for his post flight checkup in Perth he was 15 mins tops.

Woohoo! Toller puppy cuddles vCBR, and how do you assess working ability in the show ring? Just coz the standard says they have to have it doesn't mean it can be judged LOL. I wouldn't mind if all working bred dog had to have a working titles in order to get their show title :p Oh and lots of show bred kelpies have herding titles... that doesn't mean that if you want a serious sheepdog you get a showbred dog though! No it's the way the standard of the Chessies realtes everything back to working ability. It explains coat is like this because, feet because, shape because... You can't asses working ability but you cas asses the ability of the dog to do the traditional work (i.e correct waterproof coat, bite/jaws can hold a large bird, shape, i.e strong hidquarters for swimming in icy water, plains are level so the dog can hold the bird and see, no exxageration that would hinder work ect) which is what every good Chessie judge should do. A US judge that was recently over here judging Goldies picked her BIS as the dog she would most like to take hunting because physically he was built for it. This is how Chessies should be judged too. You should come down on the 22nd ST and meet Strauss and watch agility so you can see how it works and if that is something you would be interested to do with Ari.

Strauss will be + Lexi and if thats a showing day then SoggyBear will be too - need to check my K9 Mag I will be there no matter what then! Nothing could keep me away from meeting Strauss

First of all apologies to all the non-showies who are falling asleep. I think we have to look at the standards. if you read the Chessie breed standard you will see what an emphasis is places on working ability as much as possible. You only have to look at the American Chessie Club magazine to see why the breed has managed to stay dual purpose, there are some articles at the front about health, interpreting the standard, achivements by Chessie people/Chessies then they have 4 pages of show results, 6 pages of retrieveing results, 2 of obidience and rally, 1 of agility and 1 page withh tracking and dock dogs. Showing isn't given the greatest emphasis, sports are. You can look at a picture from a Chesapeake club show in 1900 and see not much variance to the Chessie Specialty in 2009.
