He is still settling in. Its normal for animals to go off their food for a while after coming to a new home. He has gone through a major upheaval remember. Just play with him and offer him his normal meals. Don't baby him too much though and don't pander to his sooking! LOL!

Oh no Chewy. What a grand old man he is. Will be thinking of you all. -
I'm so sorry for your loss. What a lucky boy he was to have such a wonderful, loving home. He looks gorgeous. RIP little Scamp.

Ringworm can take many forms, but that doesn't look like ringworm to me. It looks more like an allergy - the skin look quite pink underneath. -
Yay that is so exciting Tamara!!

Is This Normal For A 6m Old Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Kirty replied to NJSTAFFY?????'s topic in Puppy Chat
NJ, is it worth spending the money on DNA testing? OK, so you didn't get what you expected in terms of breed, but you did get a lovely dog. I guess if it really bothers you, then chase it up. And if the breeder is a BYB anyway, I highly doubt they are going to reimburse you or do anything to help. DNA tests are very expensive - money that could be spent on dog toys, food, etc. -
Remove him. Put him back on leash until he calms down, then maybe let him play again. If he gets too rough again, back on lead.

Maisie had one just like you describe and in the same spot. The vet did an aspiration and it was a fatty lump. However, she had three other fatty lumps (including one nasty one that was wrapped around muscle) so when we had the bad one removed, the vet just took them all off.

I found this ingredients list from this website: Ingredients: Wheat starch, glycerine, vegetable fibres, lecithin, natural colourings and flavourings.

I saw them the other day! I thought it was a weird concept really, but I do admit I find it very gruesome feeding my dogs real pigs ears... I might have to try them.

Ouch! Poor Diesal. Champa used to get welts like that too, it was from a plant or something but we never worked out what it was. Thankfully since moving, he hasn't had them.

What? Oh man, all this time wasted on advice and we don't even get to see puppy pics...

Ooh Tamara that is so exciting! When do you go? I hope they are the breeder you have been waiting for. If you are happy, you don't need to visit others. When we bought our cats it only took one breeder and we were happy. However when looking for another kitten, we went to a few awful breeders and they just confirmed how great the first was.

Just becuse its super premium, doesn't mean it agrees with her system. Some dogs have intolerances. My dog had chronic runs when she was a pup and we tried everything - the only food that didn't upset her tummy was Supercoat. It worked for us, so we used it. I would be starting an elimination diet. Cut out everything but the dryfood and feed her only dryfood for a few weeks. See if there is any change. If not, you know its the dryfood. I personally have had good experiences with Supercoat and also Bonnie and Cobber. Yes, I know they aren't the fanciest foods, but they work for my dogs.

Oh poor baby. Being a small dog it probably wouldn't be too bad to get them done together, especially if she is OK with being crated. Remember, two ops means TWICE the rehab, resting, etc. Also, if both are injured, if you do one leg at a time, the other leg will be put under a lot of pressure.

Fingers Crossed/healing Vibes/prayers Etc, Please

Perhaps she has a piece of bone lodged in her throat, or even an injury. That would explain the pain and not wanting to drink, etc. I hope you can find the answer. -

How frightening. My first thought was blockage or maybe poison? But I guess they would have showed up on the test. Keeping her in my thoughts. -
It is your dog, but just so you know, younger animals recover much more quickly from desexing than older animals.

My dog Maisie had a pea-sized lump on her back, a lump under her chin and a large mass on her breast-bone removed in one hit last year and it cost us under $500 for the op and testing of the lumps. I hope Trixie is OK and its not cancerous.

She was so beautiful. RIP gorgeous girl.

I am sorry you are going through this, but why is crating not an option? I would have thought it was the easiest option - stick the dog in a crate, and leave him there? He can't hurt himself, he can't interact with the kids, etc.
