  1. Oh for christs sake. I give up. Obviously dogs should be allowed anywhere they like and we should all leave our children at home in their cages.
  2. Kyliegirl, did you even read all the threads here? Including the one from the person who knows exactly what happened? The dog approached the child who was standing next to her mother.
  3. It annoys me that people seem to forget that children are little people. They have the right to go anywhere their parents go and feel SAFE. I have a toddler and I should not have to worry about her getting attacked by a dog while I get my bloody hair cut!! Mind you, I do supervise my children and while I normally don't take them to the hairdressers with me, on the odd occasion I have they play with the toys in the corner. Dogs do not belong in places like that unless they are confined.
  4. How do you know the child wasn't being supervised? Perhaps the parent was watching it the entire time? Perhaps he was not a dog savvy person and thought nothing of the child approaching the dog. Perhaps he assumed that since the dog was at the salon, it was a friendly dog? I have watched parents watch their kids come racing up to my dogs and get in their faces. My dogs LOVE kids - but how do their parents know this?
  5. Ditto to Gretel's post. I really HATE dogs in places like that. Dogs belong at home OR if they have to be there, they should be confined. Why was the dog being fed while a small child was around? It makes me really angry.
  6. Poor baby. How awful. She will probably be scarred for life now - physically and emotionally. :p
  7. Oh bugger. That is very disappointing. If you love this breeder, I'd wait. Having said that, I am not a very patient person so I would probably start looking again! LOL! Sorry that was not helpful at all.
  8. I think she gets the message. Can we give it a rest now? She made a mistake, she should have done better. But she is also a new breeder. People make mistakes. Do you not think she feels terrible enough?
  9. They are just gorgeous.
  10. Its wonderful to have such lovely memories, but the older I get, the harder I find it. More and more of my beloved animals are now waiting on the other side.
  11. Get him seen by a vet and then an eye specialist if necessary. No point asking questions when you don't even know what you are dealing with. And if he IS blind in one eye, I would want to know why, what caused it, etc and no, I wouldn't show him.
  12. Haha! Our dogs used to climb the plum tree at our old house and eat the plums. They at least waited until they were ripe though! You should have seen the poops, some had 5-6 full-size stones in them... Ouch!!
  13. Oh no. :D That is so sad. RIP beautiful girl.

    Ace

I am so very sorry. :D RIP baby Ace.
  15. Baby doves/pigeons have to be the ugliest babies... I mean, they are kinda cute but those beaks! LOL! I discovered we have a Spotted Dove nesting on one of our rolled up patio blinds - right above where the dogs sleep! They really are stupid birds. I wonder how they have survived this long...
  16. I have baby gates to stop the dogs, but I also have fat cats who couldn't fit through and couldn't jump over... I cut out part of one bar to make a square hole, then used the piece I cut out as a cross piece to go along the top of the hole. Cats can fit though, dogs can't. I have included a very rough Paint picture to try and show you what I mean.

I am so sorry. I have tears streaming down my face. He was a gorgeous dog. RIP Fraser.
  18. Can you change classes? I've had some shockers too and I just switch to another class.
  19. I love the one of the birds! They look like Fairy Martins.
  20. I am so sorry for your loss. RIP gorgeous boy, taken far too soon. Sending you massive hugs.
  21. She is so cute, just like Louis! I wonder if they are related?
  22. he is very gorgeous but quite unusual too. I swear I can see terrier in him! LOL! I think he is a very odd mix, as in something huge and solid crossed with something tiny and fine...
  23. I am so sorry Stefie. RIP beautiful girl.
  24. Gorgeous photos! And lovely subjects.
  25. I like these previously suggested ones: "There is no better STRENGTH than love itself" Triumph through Love or the Latin Triumphus per diligo
