  1. Sorry Dane people, will try to pop in more. Barely get any time on here as it is though.
  2. Or one that says "Kiss my..."
  3. Riiiiiight.... My dogs would have those off in less than a second. And what happens when the dog needs to poop?
  4. jaymatt, Phoebe is doing pretty well. In the last few months, she has come along in leaps and bounds. Every day she improves more. This last week was very exciting because she played with me for the first time! I was on the deck, razzing up the other dogs and Phoebe leapt up on me! She has been doing it every day since which is great. She enjoys her walks now and loves coming inside. Heavy Paws, hopefully that is the case with Phoebe. She has been brought up around cats and kittens, so hopefully we can control her 'interest' in the cats.
  5. Remember me asking for advice about my Dane who is a bit too interested in my cats? Well, my little kitten LA has decided to take on the role of 'desensitiser'. Despite me constantly shooing the cat away, he is besotted with the dog. Phoebe is being brilliant with him thankfully. She looks to me frequently for reassurance, and I gave her lots and lots of praise. And don't worry, I was sitting about 2ft away, talking to Phoebe the whole time.
  6. Feral dogs fair enough. But dingoes?
  7. If the remaining dog has a good temperament, and we can get it to Melbourne, I could probably convince my husband to let it come here.
  8. Which is why you should NEVER give animals away.
  9. Haha that is so cute! Is your cat a Tonkinese?
  10. I just found this on a WA website. Wonder if it applies to other states? They are classified as A1 and A3 which means: Declaration categories under the Agriculture and Related Resources Protection Act 1976 A1 Entry prohibited. A3 Keeping prohibited. http://www.agric.wa.gov.au/objtwr/imported...ulletin4604.pdf
  11. That is disgusting. Can you imagine the damage they might do if they escaped? Absolutely ridiculous. Apparently there are wild (pest) squirrels in WA.

    Leo

I am so sorry Greytmate. RIP gorgeous Leo. :D
  13. I use them here for my foster cats. They definitely last a good 10 hours. I got mine from a supplier in QLD. They cost $45 each.
  14. My Lab x boy does. Its something he picked up later in life. Its a really low, long, mournful howl. I think its funny!
  15. My vet explained to me that its not about the quantity of 'virus' that you are exposed to. If you are exposed to the virus and it causes your immune system to respond, then you are immune. I vacc my dogs and cats every three years with the most basic vacc available - C3 for dogs and killed F3s for cats.
  16. A lady came into work the other day with her Pom x. She purchased it from a petshop as a Pom x Shih Tzu - it looked like a giant, not very hair Pom, it almost as big as a Kelpie and apparently behaved like one too...
  17. Cherry eye is not a huge deal, but really needs to be fixed by a specialist. Where are these dogs? Could the ones with cherry eye get to Victoria?
  18. Pers, I have no problem with snap traps or the zapper traps. Its some of the other suggestions that have me here shaking my head.
  19. Will never cease to amaze me how some people can be so cruel to 'certain' animals just because they are considered vermin. Feed them cement? Drown them in a trap? Unbelievable. In some countries, dogs are considered pests. Imagine the uproar if that was done to a dog. Mice and rats deserve a humane death.
  20. OMG I am laughing out loud at work and people are staring at me! ROFL!! Evolving, your pic set me off! Absolutely hilarious! It needs to go on that 'FAIL' website!! LOL!!
