  1. Is it a tiny bit of tubing above his eye? They usually sew something on the upper eyelid (sometimes a button but frequently a piece of tube) to stop the stitches pulling through the eyelid.
  2. Fingers crossed its just a UTI. My cat has had a few and she always gets very sooky too. I hope Sarge is feeling much better very soon.
  3. If only they'd kept him inside.
  4. Haha douche is my favourite word at the moment.
  5. The Daschies I've known were good with kids and would be fine for long walks. But I don't know about the health issues.
  6. He seems happy enough to me? The Prof said he would have to be kept indoors (thank god) but the feet are so tiny - not sure why they wouldn't have made them normal cat size? Anyway, you have to start somewhere. This cat seems to have normal movement now and will hopefully live a long life.
  7. For farks sake! It does not surprise me in the LEAST though. I remember watching a segment of Better Homes and Gardens where Dr Harry took a family to Pets Paradise to buy a new kitten, complete with PP plug. Perhaps Channel 10 have an agreement with PP? Absolutely disgusting. ETA: Found another link from Dr Chris Brown with another PP animal. Dr Chris Brown After a recent theft of an exotic bird in Sydney, more and more pet owners are concerned for the safety of their furry family members. Today Dr Chris Brown discusses the incidence of pet theft and how to prevent it. Joining Dr Chris is Con the Green Cheeked Conure Parrot, kindly provided by Pets Paradise, Victoria Gardens. www.petsparadise.com.au www.petsearch.com.au
  8. Ditto to what teebs said. And a Neo crossed with a BB is NOT an Aussie anyway!!
  9. Get a greyhound! My girl is an absolute dream. She can be stubborn but she is so gentle and so affectionate. She is just gorgeous. She is great with my kids and my other animals.
  10. This seller will custom make coats. I have bought them for my Great Dane, Greyhound and my foster Dally and I really like them. You can have it without the snood and in lots of pretty colours. Just make sure you measure around the neck because I didn't with my Dane and its a little snug on her. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Greyhound-Kennel-Co...=item4aa28d017a
  11. I was doing the big feed tonight (rabbits and foster cats) with the usual help from my dogs. The most enthusiastic helper, as usual, is my 11 month old Greyhound. I opened up the rabbit hutch to give them their hay and pellets - the rabbits stand up and poke their heads out of the top of the hutch, my Greyhound pushes the rabbits out of the way and proceeds to eat the pellets! ROFL!! Move onto the cats... I am topping up the dryfood bowl of my newest foster when she again pushes past me - not to meet the brand new cat, but to steal his little toy mouse! LOL!! I am so glad I decided to foster (and keep) this dog, she is just amazing.
  12. Don't get too excited - my Dane is 'broken'. LOL! If she comes, she will probably sit in a corner and drool! LOL!
  13. I think its a Huggies ad, but it shows this Bulldog in all sorts of weird spots - up on a bookshelf, etc and then you realised he is trying to get away from a little toddler. Its very cute! Can't find it online but keep an eye out for it.
  14. OK, I am DEFINITELY coming this time. I will bring at least two dogs, maybe three. I will definitely bring Maisie (BC cross) and probably Pia (Greyhound) and maybe Phoebe (Great Dane). Any food suggestions?
  15. There is a member on here who has just knitted a dog coat - I think her name is Michelleva??
  16. I found a lady who makes greyhound coats on Ebay. If you google 'greyhound coats' her links should come up. They are very cheap so eaily replaced if the dog eats them, and she will make them to order for the same price. I have lots of her coats here (because my dogs destroy coats and I was wasting my money on expensive ones) and they are great.
  17. We have always had girls, all desexed. Currently have three with no dramas, but two are only young so we'll see what the future brings. Hopefully nothing.
  18. OMG OMG OMG!! I am so jealous!! I have always wanted to do that. Hopefully sometime in the near future I will get around to it.
  19. I was going to say the same this as sas. Don't pick up Indy, boot her naughty butt off the couch!
  20. I changed my dogs beds the other day and the bottom of them was damp too. They are definitely not getting wet from wee or rain, so I guess it is just condensation?
  21. Be warned, Greyhound collars are addictive! I have bought so many for Pia because there are just so many nice ones to choose from! LOL!
  22. My girl who is ball obsessed has very worn down canines. One of them is actually broken off because she used to play with golf balls! But she is 9 now and her teeth are very clean and she has no dramas with them. I wouldn't deny my dog the pleasure she gets from playing with tennis balls because her teeth might wear down.
  23. I say leave them at it. Eventually they will get bored and take a break. They are only doing it so much now because its a novelty when they are together. ETA: From the video, it looks like the dog is instigating the play, so I'd let them play for a while, then put the dog on a leash.
