I would like to go but I find it hard to get there as it's so far away.

My GSD puppy's ears have been up and down since I got her. They are now mostly erect (6 months old) however when she is really hot or stressed, they both flop down! I think they will end up erect though. :)

Eek is that a stone fish? He looks grumpy!

Gorgeous horses!! They are such handsome boys. :) WnH, to get clearer action shots, don't zoom in when you are taking photos of them running around. You are better off taking the shot at a distance, then cropping it. Also, make sure you hold the button half down to focus it, then depress fully to take the pic. :)

Poor little Gilbert. Glad to hear he is back home with you, what an awful shock. Geez your animals are going to give you heart failure Cos!

We use baby shampoo diluted in water 1:9. Soak a face washer in the solution and hold it on the area for a few minutes to soften the blood. Then wipe it off.

No, I mean plastic juice bottles - lids and rings removed. The dogs love chewing them but don't eat them.

Congenital cataracts have been recorded as being seen in GR's.
-
Guide dogs vic have all of their breeding dogs and potential workibg dogs eye screened prior to breeding/working.

You can also give Benadryl to help clear the mucous, and/or honey and lemon drinks.

I know all about cataracts, but thanks. :)

Yep! Will be interesting to see if Guide Dogs even know about these pups!!!

Can't say what I'm thinking!!!!!

I can't watch the video on my phone. Is there a youtube or story?

Hopefully it will just pass through. My dogs used to eat tonnes of them (we had a plum tree and they loved the plums!) and they all just came out the other end.

Three of my animals are named after Geelong players - Ablett (Gary Ablett), Rockling (which is what Rex Hunt calls Cameron Ling) and Otto (Brad Ottens). My blind pup is Stevie after Stevie Wonder. I have a foster cat called Penny and had another called Leonard after Big Bang Theory. :)

Guide dogs breed their own dogs. There is a DNA test for hereditary cataracts, not sure about congenital.

Thanks for the ideas. The Jolly balls are what I was looking at but they are quite expensive so I wanted to be sure they are tough! I've found a temporary solution though - five empty juice bottle and three cardboard boxes = happy puppies!

I want to get some really tough, durable toys that I can leave in the backyard for the dogs to play with. Needs to be hard-wearing and safe! Was thinking about some of those big, hard balls with the handles? Any ideas?

Megan, its the Yarra River in Wonga Park. Dogs are allowed offlead in this section and my dogs love it. :) Only problem is that its quite grassy so I am always wary of snakes.

I would have thought that lure coursing or rabbiting would only INCREASE her prey drive? I was told to even avoid fluffy toys for my Grey because it might confuse her. I have always been very strict with Pia and she is very gentle with my cats. But we have a zero tolerance rule for chasing/harrassing cats in our house!

Had to add this one of Maisie! This is why I didn't let Stevie off because there was no way I wanted to swim out that far if I had to rescue her!
-
She needs a new vest! I can barely do that one up anymore. :)

Bianca she has Optic Nerve Hypoplasia, so basically there is no connection from her eyes to her brain. She was born that way so has never known anything different. :) She does have some issues but overall she is very happy.
