  1. I recommend talking to Lilli or looking in the LGD thread :)
  2. Thank you for your updates Behluka, I really enjoying reading your about your experiences with Jake and now Wolff. Please keep us updated!
  3. Ahh Behluka, I am very jealous. I wonder how long it will be before another litter of CAS are born. The only female I know of that isn't spayed in Aus is Danara. I'm sorry you didn't end up with Wolff though, I know your son was very excited for that! Congratulations all the same though! Jealousy is through the roof!
  4. I lost my heart dog - a bernese in June, and I'd love to go bigger with my next dog, I love solid, long haired breeds, so I would loooove a Saint Bernard, but the life-span and the drool is too off-putting, my berner had turned only 4 the month prior. I want a big, hairy bear dog, with a long life span that I can do agility and obedience with, that will be happy to run with me and hike but lay on the couch or at my feet when I'm home doing nothing. I'd love a protective dog, with nerves of steel, confident yet not overbearing with other dogs and not small animal aggressive. Lifespan and health are the most important, after spending 2.5 grand trying to help Bruno lead a normal life, I'd like to not have to do that again
  5. Yeah my bernese was bad enough! I know my OH wouldn't cope at all with a saint!
  6. They are so divine, how does he go with drool already!?
  7. Thank you BC Crazy, I would get another bernese and a saint (maybe more than one each) if they didn't cost me a fortune in vet bills, I mean the 20% discount to employees is good, but on thousands of dollars it doesn't stretch THAT far. :) More photos cassie?
  8. I've always wanted a saint, since I was little! I lost my bernese last month to what would seem to be lung cancer. I'd love to see some more photos of both your boys :)
  9. I saw him in Wagga Wagga a few months ago! I would love to go again! ETA - There's so much in October in Melbourne, I need to move closer 5 hours away is a pain in the butt!
  10. Love the photos! Can't wait to get a dog I can do sports with! What I did notice though, was that none of the dogs were crossbreeds! LOL unless the dane looking one is a mix, and maybe the Koolie is mixed with a Kelpie, they still look all pure to me (from the photos) :)
  11. I was just wondering if anyone could inform me of what the physical differences between the Airedale Terrier, Lakeland Terrier and Welsh Terrier are besides height and weight? I have a very hard time telling them apart unless I can see them beside something to give me an estimate of height, lol. Any help is good :) edited because my sentence didn't make sense,
  12. Hi oneteaspoon! I worked in a well known show and breeding kennel a few years ago now but it was a Bernese kennel :) and I can tell you from the dogs I know I would choose a Bernese over a Labrador to be suited as an apartment dog. My current boy enjoyed being my running/hiking buddy back when he was able to, but he is completely more than happy to laze around under the airconditioner all day I assure you :) each dog is different though, but the hundreds I've met over the years would suit just fine :)
  13. Oh ok, thank you, it seems so simple now I picked the best day to go (for me) it seems! Thanks so much!
  14. Hi everyone, I'll be attending the royal this year (woo!) and I wont make it on the Friday - my main interest is the utility group and on the schedule it states there will be a "balance of utility". I am newish to the showing scene and don't understand this term, could someone please explain it to me? Many thanks
  15. It annoys me excessively that dog 44 in your first link has a breed listed spelt wrong, a common mistake. DalmatiOn - Bleghhhhh! It's an A Sorry for the off topic
  16. Hi everyone, so thanks to Melbourne Animal Rescue I've just won a ticket, and as of right now I don't know if I can go yet, I don't have plans but I won't drive on my own and can't afford flights. So if I can't find someone to come with me, I'll be offering my ticket here, is anyone interested? (I'll let you know ASAP)
  17. I love the last shot the most :)
  18. I didn't notice Kuma (maybe ??) in the first lot of photos! Does Dodge give him the okay incase he needs to be dogsat again sometime in the future?
  19. You would think my Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy, Murky was awake 24/7. He's constantly making little whines and groans, he's a talker, he sleep paddles furiously.
  20. So between BSAVA Textbook of Veterinary Nursing or The Complete Textbook of Veterinary Nursing by Victoria Aspinall which of the two would be better to get?
  21. Thank you everyone! I guess I better get spending, haha
  22. The wonderful Lilli gave me this link to read up on colour genetics, I think it's great :) (I love pictures, hehe ) Edited to add the link! Silly me - http://homepage.usask.ca/~schmutz/dogcolors.html
