Limping Front Left Leg/ Updated Post Cyst Or Cancer?
KOE replied to joyalmond's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
My Elka limped from the time she was 6 1/2 months to 12 months, missed out on a lot of shows had been to the vet, had bowen therapy you name it. Nothing ever showed up I though my gorgeous girl would never go to a show ever again. Then I her xrayed on that leg at 9 months and nothing showed up. When she was a bit over 12 months I thought well I would have her hips and elbows done through the GSD scheme, and funnily enough from the day she was stretched out as they do to xray she has never limped since. So we are assuming that she was out somewhere and by the position she was placed in to xray it put it back in. -
So sorry to hear bout your beautiful boy/ rip Kaizer run free with the others

If I was going they would be with me otherwise I would fly, I would not feel sure of someone else having control of my dogs for such a long way.

Lets pray the miracle arrives I also try not to read this to lose a child is devastating enough without knowing. Get better sweet angel.

I dont use the shampoo because I am too lazy to wash it off, I have been using the free itch rinse for more years than I can remember and because I am lazy I put them through the hydrobath. I have 3 shepherds all jumping in together when we are finished I usually have more on me than they have. It has never given me a rash or made me sick nor the dogs, I previously over the years used it on boxers and vizslas. The dogs smell great and so do I and none of us ever get ticks or fleas

Our mutt is the same he is never left in the house the GSDS are fine never touch a thing, him well he ate the phones and he is just the mutt from hell.

Do you have a grassed area, What you could do is try and keep her contained to an area where there is no dirt whilst she is out doors. My 3 GSD's sleep with me on and off during the night and they go outside a lot because they leave dirt trails behind wherever they have been laying I just vacumn. Or keep a chamois handy and wipe her down before she comes back in. But dogs will be dogs

Dogs do love well mine love me anyway and I love them the same with no restrictions if they are bad I still love them. But I think Oliver hates me when I clean his ears And I will admit I probably treat my dogs better than I did my kids years ago. And for the record Shoemonster I dont think you are a dickhead, never mind TB she's wierd.

I bet that was scarey as I would have had a fit. Try washing him over with a tee tree shampoo. hope he is feeling better.

We once had a bad flea infestation, the dogs were washed every couple of days in Fido's free itch rinse the whole yard and under the house was hit with Garden Lime and the inside was flea bombed, the dogs wore bayer kiltix collars no more fleas and never had one since, when I go to the coast showing the dogs are bathed before we go bathed there and usually thrown into the sea before we come home and bathed 1st thing on return.

To my dearest friend. who today lost one of her GSD"S to Luekemia today. To my dearest friend today I cried for you as you did for me I know your heart is broken for that I can see to lose another so young to that awful dreaded disease sweet Jaffa will rest in heaven with Cisco, Maggie,Sharni and Jana while they all wait for you your girls are looking after my boy Rhyle which keeps me full of joy I know one day we will be standing on that hillside in that field of flowing wheat and surrounded by our German Shepherd Dogs who will be laying by our feet love from Me Oliver,Kim and Elka. Take this poem and hold it close it will do for you what it did for me your heart will still be breaking but this will ease the pain for we will be there in time to come I was standing on a hillside, in a field of blowing wheat And the spirit of a German Shepherd Dog was lying at my feet. He looked at me with kind dark eyes, ancient wisdom shining through, And in the essence of his being his love shone clear and true. His mind did lock upon my heart as I stood there on that day, And he told me of this story about a place so far away. His tale did put my heart at ease, my fears did fade away, About what lay ahead of me on another distant day. “I live among God’s creatures now in the heavens of your mind, So do not grieve for me my friend for I am with my kind. My collar is a rainbow’s hue, my leash a shooting star. My boundaries are the Milky Way where I sparkle from afar. There are no pens or kennels here, and I am not confined, But free to roam God’s heavens among my Shepherd kind. I nap the day on a snowy cloud, gentle breezes rocking me, And dream the dreams of earthlings and how it used to be. The trees are full of liver treats and tennis balls abound, And milk bones line the walkways, just waiting to be found. There even is a ring set up, the grass all lush and green, And everyone who gaits around becomes the Best Breed. For we’re all winners in this place, we have no faults you see, And God passes out those Ribbons to each one, even me. I drink from waters laced with gold, my world a beauty to behold, And wise old dogs do form my pride to amble at my very side. At night I sleep in an angel’s arms, her wings protecting me, And moonbeams dance about us as stardust falls on thee. So when your life on earth is spent, and you stand at Heaven’s gate, Have no fear of loneliness, for here you know I wait.” Rest in peace and play with Rhyle sweet JAffa

How To Correct Female Gsd's Behavior?
KOE replied to joy4land's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Tie a sheet of her own to a tree and tell her its hers sorry but she will grow out of it. -
Hips and elbows, they just couldnt wake him up even the defibs wouldnt work it really broke my heart. They are the only digital pics I have of him.

I would say the amount of time between the first and when the 2nd lot is due add a week or two. Oliver took 2 weeks or so for the redness to go away. hope he is getting better.

:p teenagers :D glad not one of my 3 were that naughty only thing I ever save is the hose. My friend havs a few that take the washing off for her. Elka was my worst and redesigned the watering system Oliver has never destroyed anything and neither has Kim from memory. -
Rest in peace sweet Kiah so sorry for your loss when Riley died I had him cremated and this poem came back with his ashes so its yours to share I just changed the breed. I was standing on a hillside, in a field of blowing wheat And the spirit of a German Shepherd /Kelpie Dog was lying at my feet. He looked at me with kind dark eyes, ancient wisdom shining through, And in the essence of his being his love shone clear and true. His mind did lock upon my heart as I stood there on that day, And he told me of this story about a place so far away. My collar is a rainbow’s hue, my leash a shooting star. My boundaries are the Milky Way where I sparkle from afar. There are no pens or kennels here, and I am not confined, But free to roam God’s heavens among my Shepherd Cross kind.
