  1. Yes, pads take forever to heal. I would restrict his exercise to short leash walks only. Maybe check the wound to see if it hot, swollen, red, smelly, oozing etc? If unsure best to check with your vet though.
  2. Yup, was it too easy? --Lhok No, i was gonna say dutch shep but the face was wrong.
  3. yay! I would also like to know whether he did anything special or the two of them just "clicked" My boss is actually veyr calm and confident with animals, so most animals even the ones that are normally naughty or scared seem to respond to him very well. I guess some people just have that
  4. Wow Lillistar that looks amazing! Lucky Ruby! I bet she had fun playing in the snow! Where abouts are you? I'm surprised it would be so cold at this time of year!
  5. Those e collars are so annoying to make up!!! I'm sure max will make a quick recovery
  6. I hear this about a lot of dogs so I'm suddenly curious - are there actually any "easy" dogs? Sounds like all dogs need a lot of hard work. It's bit like the intelligence thing. Growing up, I was told that dalmations and red setters were stupid but these days the intelligence lists seem to make it sound like EVERY single dog is smart, it's just a matter of whether it's "trainable/obedient smart" or "get stuffed human, don't expect me to perform like a monkey when I am an independent snob smart" Yes. My aussie Clover was a very easy girl. thank goodness as we had no idea what we were doing LOL. She was a dream puppy She never chewed or jumped and was never trained using food. She was always well behaved in public as she had no interest in other people outside the family or other dogs. The only slightly naughty thing she did was try to herd us as a family if we did walks. She also preferred to walk behind us as i think she felt she was herding us LOL. We were nice at at one stage when we were in the posiution, we gave her some sheepies and ponies to play with. Great dog Mindy is also easy but she is more of a typical puppy and we've had some minor normal puppy issues with her.
  7. Puppy ate part of an honours thesis. Pretty bad considering I was just borrowing it!
  8. Well i was going to say Tosa Inu but they're obviously not european. Is it a Danish Broholmer?
  9. My dog is fine going on the lead and always stands still and doesn't try to run. But she really drags herself home or to the car. Sometimes she will refuse to move! I think she is just tesing me, so after encouraging her in a happy voice i tug on the lead and she seems to reluctantly come and realise that there is no other choice. And she gives me a really depressed look Any tips?
  10. only 3$ what a bargin. I might have to get me one LOL
  11. Yep. Too easy! i wiki'ed that one LOL ok so this might be a hard one as it is not really a reconised breed. more in the bull arab, kooli or labradoodle type recognition level. It is a definite type though and ill be intered to see whether anyone knows
  12. i;m just going to have to spend some cashola and invest in a large variety of toys that make noise. do you know anywhere in particular you get these bargins? The best toys my dog has ever had are form the $2 shop or equivalent. They may not last long but they sure are fun! Probably because they are so easy to rip to shreds LOL. This is the result of a ball i got he from the $2 shop (it cost me about $1) Yes that is my ugg boot in the background. You can see it is not chewed up though It is more of a comforter for her which she loves to cuddle up to or carry around. NO, i don't mind slobber on my foot either
  13. Slovakian Rough haired pointer? Looks like a wire hair weim to me though
