Oh dear Pers, I think you could be right. She feels terrible
-
Thanks for the replies Dol people My sister took them into the vets for identification and the vet nurse did indeed think they were skin tags. Well caught T Poor Pep, I bet it hurt to rip those out. Sis definitely will not be doing something like that again. She just though tick and panicked. Cue one very spoilt dog for the rest of the day.
-
Thanks powerlegs, I've passed that on to my sister. Also tried to clarify if these things popped up overnight or if they could have been there a while.
-
Interesting TD, I think she just panicked a little and pulled them off, thinking they were ticks. Not sure about the skin tag thing though as she is a black dog and the 'fur' is white?
-
She just sent another. Really not great quality but she said the end of it (that was sticking out the dogs face) is kinda furry?

Hi everyone, long time no speak My sister has just texted me these pics. These nasties were in the side of her dog's face this morning. Apparently she bled quite profusely when they were removed. Really not sure what they are. The blood and hair stuck to them doesn't help with identification I know but does anyone have any ideas?

Week 37 Slight cheat as it was taken same well as the last one, at the deer Park. I saw these little red berries in the afternoon light and thought they looked beautiful.

Week 36 After checking out the campground we decided to stay there the following weekend. First camping trip since Ethan's diabetes diagnosis. It was a little scary not have the security blanket of home and the hospital less than 5 minutes away but I'll get used to it the more we do it. He did have a hypo after dinner. Not sure if I counted the carbs right but had some extra chocolate ( no complaints from Ethan ) and he was fine. I went got a wander to find the deer in the evening.

Week 35 We popped to Borumba Deer Park to check out the campground. Lovely little creek there

@Roova love the red flowers against the bluey green background. Really makes them stand out. @persephone Such stunning colours. Beautiful @Zena's mum Hahaha, love that washing line.

Week 34. We had a fire not far from us. Scary stuff but makes a beauty of a sunset.

Week 33 My gorgeous boy

Kodi: why is this forum quiet about it?

Unfortunately this kind of case is always going to bring out the loonies on both sides. People just cannot settle for the fact that we will never know what actually happened. Unless an independent person witnessed events or a camera recorded it, the accounts will always be skewed in favour of the person giving them. Is this Taspol account the 'truth'? Who knows. Are their loonies on the internet? Definitely Personally, I think the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle of the owner's and the kid's account. Does seem a little strange that an aggressive dog would be in the front yard with gates open though. -
Hahaha. For someone who has spent most of their life in the UK, I'm still amazed I am able to not only to see kangaroos, but stroke them too

Week 32 This friendly Kookie let me get really close.

Week 31 Still at the zoo, but not in an enclosure. I was just making my way to the exit, when I spotted this guy sunning himself on a rock. He was such a little poser
-
Week 30? I think. Oops I went back to the zoo. I have an annual pass so it won't be my last trip there. I love spending time, sat on the floor with the roos. It's my therapy
-
Week 30 I spent quite a while watching the dingoes in their enclosure. So pretty
-
Week 29 I visited Australia zoo a couple of weeks ago. First time I've been for about 8 or 9 years I reckon. Lots has changed but the tigers are still one of my favourites

Thanks RP, I spoke to her specialist yesterday and she isn't concerned as long as Mya isn't actually getting any bald spots so I'll just keep combing the undercoat out. It is unseasonably warm so that may be the reason. Not sure Cannibal. She has regular blood tests because of her liver so I will ask to maybe check those levels next test? What other symptoms, if any, should I be looking for, if her thyroid levels were out of whack? We're Sunny Coast SG and yes, it has been ridiculously warm. Next week we're apparently going to reach 30 degrees. WTH

Ok, first off, I know she's a husky and huskies shed ALOT. We've had her for 7 years now so I get it But in the last few days the shedding has been next level. She is literally losing her entire undercoat along her back. I don't think it's a skin problem, the skin isn't sore or crusty or anything like that and she isn't losing the top coast just ALL of her undercoat. She has ongoing liver problems (hepatitis) which we have been monitoring. Last bloods taken about a month ago were looking ok. She's on Denosyl and Ursofalk for her condition. Nothing else at the moment. She was on steroids but we weaned her off those over a month ago as they were making her liver worse. Her specialist has been away for a few days but she is due to call me today. Just wondering if any other husky owners out there had experienced quite such a radical coat shed out of the blue like this.

Week 28 A little but of fun, compositing Mya into a snowy scene. This is the closest she's likely to get to the snow lol.
-
Week 27 I see this beautiful creature on one of my regular dog walks. I decided to go without the dogs one day so I could get some photos.
-
Week 26 Yikes, I didn't realise quite how far behind I was lol. I took Mya for a trip to the forest a few weeks ago, to take some shots. I liked this one in b&w
