He hunches over, lethargic not himself at all. Yelps when eating so we have raised his food and water bowls. He gets spasms from his feet up too his shoulders and cries out in pain. He lets out howls occassionaly. He has been on strong pain killers and anti inflammatorys. He has had steriod shots and is on prednisolone tablets.

Hi, I dont post usually just read posts. We own a purebreed beagle of 9 years who has just recently started showing these symptons of SRM. At first we had him on pain medication and anti inflammatories but this was not helping and it seemed to get worse really fast. We did some research and found this beagle pain syndrome and this fits our boy. We have spoken with our vet and she has read this ( as she has seen one of his pain episodes) so we now have him on this steriod treatment. Has anyone else had any experience with this as we would really love more information to help ? Im not sure if i can post links but if you just google it will show. Thank you for any help Jenifer
