I am after some information about experiences with anti bark collars.. citronella or sonic NOT "shock" collars for small dogs. Background I have a lovely little 5 yr old male desexed Chi. He is a problimatic barker, upside he barks at people not just randomly, I'm looking at moving into a more suburban area and want to have this sorted before we get complaints from the neighbours. He is crate trained, lives inside but when he is outside he barks territorially at people and we have a busy showroom beside us so he does it constantly!!. He does not need to see people but if he hears footsteps, talking ect it starts. I have tried distractions, repromands. I do not want him to teach my other dog the same "tricks". Has anyone used collars on such a small breed? How effecive was it?

I have Iggies, last night was awful They had fleece coats, snuggle beds and a blanket each OH and I had a laugh when we peeked in thier crates and they were all under the blankets. I am going to experiment in making a fleece sleeping bag for those -5 winter nights ( no central heating here)

Yup , Once you go Italian there is no going back lol ;) I have 2 very different personalities Peroni is boisterous, happy and outgoing Tiara is very aloof but also very gentle and enjoys snuggling more. She is also alot smaller than Peroni I love, love , love them

During the hot summer my dog prefered to sleep outside but because it was used to the crate it would take some time to wind down ... I purchased a dog run not huge just for sleeping keeping the dog confined And that dog loved it!!! like a crate it was secure but outside

I have those two breeds, IG and a Bull Terrier Miniature.. Yes I absolutely love independant thinkers, both breeds IMO love to be with you when you are there but if you are unavailable they will happily amuse themselves

Definately no dog showers here.. volentarily anyway, I use the shower for them but thet do not like it lol!! My SIL had a rotty that loved the shower, if you didn't lock the door he would jump up and release the door handle and invite himself in and the funnist thing I ever heard was my MIL screams when she turned around and opened her eyes and the dog was right there, it was a shower over the bath so not much room inbetween

I am a total disaster in the ring!! Just this last show, The judge asked me to go out and back.. but he flung his arm to the side of the ring , sooooo stupid me went in the direction he gestured only to be yelled at!! "I SAID OUT AND BACK THAT MEANS THERE" pointing to the far end of the ring :D yep with my menor in tow- I guess I didn't deliver the wonderful impression of knowing what I was doing I have also been called for group while visiting the ammenities and have had the group awarded while I was concentrating on my dog The judge just stood there waiting for me to realise And if it wasn't for these blunders we would all be robots!!!!!!
