These dogs did know me, they saw me daily as my grandparents looked after me after school and I quite often slept overnight. All 6 dogs I grew up with and kissed and cuddled all the time, they were all around 6-8 years old. It was routine for me to kiss them goodbye, it just so happened that my pinhead brothers & cousins tormented them without anyone knowing and then I copped it!

When I was 7 years old I was at my grandparents house and they at the time had 6 dachshunds. We were leaving to go home and me being the animal loving kid that I was went to give them all a kiss goodbye as I had always done. Well little did we know but my older cousins had been teasing a couple of the dogs with sticks , so of course when I went to kiss one of them in particular it latched onto my face and tore a bit of my face off and did some major damage. I still remember it and still have the scars but it did not discourage me from that particular dachshunds or any dog one little bit, it made no difference to me whatsoever. Mum said I was such a trooper, apparently I was more upset at the dog not 'likeing' me rather than the pain and the blood!

I thought you were a spammer for a minute there. Wondered what sort of pics we were going to see. lol I could not see them quick enough, did not hesitate a bit

No.. even the night hubby had to rush me to emergency, apparently all I kept saying all the way in the car and at the hospital to the doctors & hubby was 'Winnie has not had dinner yet" I still can not remember to this day what I was saying, but apparently the doctors were asking me 'what is Winnie' and I kept saying she has not had dinner hubby went home soon as I was stable and gave Winnie her dinner, just to shut me up

Hi Everyone The pet supplies store I work for is looking for a trainer to start puppy school and not having much luck in finding someone locally. The store is based in the south eastern suburbs so if you know of anyone that would be interested please pm me with their details! Also we have a part-time position available for any nice fellas out there! It involves forklift operation & heavy lifting! If you know of anyone wishing to work in the animal industry (we do not sell pets) and has flexible availability then please let me know

maybe you should have barked at the little creep, that would of confused the crap out of him
-
Oh he is gorgeous! I am glad you picked him, when you were saying you could not decide between the two, the first thing I noticed is in every picture you showed of yourself with the two of them, your head in the pictures was always tilted to the little white faced one You always seemed to be closer to him, body language is a funny thing! Hope you have a ball with him, he is gorgeous

thank you ;) i got bert's on the internet on a sale and it was only $30. bert can swim but he tires easily with the effort of keeping his head above water. he would never admit to his shortcomings tho (tough little rambo) and keeps trying to swim out to us and then panics as he is tired and cant swim any further so the life jacket gives us piece of mind and means we dont have to constantly fish him out of the water- tho we still dont take our eyes off him. Well Winnie tried to steal some poor kids kickboard on Sunday. He was paddling along minding his own business and the next thing he had Winnie hanging off it with him I thought the kids mum was going to have a heart attack she was laughing so hard.

haha my sally is like that, we have a clam shell pool that doesnt hold much water but she also manages to come inside dripping mud and water all over the place (usually when i have just finished mopping the floors! Winnie appears like that simply from having a drink out of the cats water fountain There ends up being more water on her than left in the bowl.
-
Oh what a spunk! Bert looks gorgeous I definitely have to get a life jacket for Winnie, she too absolutely loves the water but she found out last weekend that she sinks, I knew it and now so does she

Yep know exactly who that is, have always thought it was not a 'reputable' sounding name

Gemma & Brandii came with their names as I adopted them Winnie is derived from Winston as about 15 years ago when I worked in boarding kennels, out of all the thousands of dogs that I was fortunate to know, one in particular left a mark on my heart and he was a white British Bulldog named Winston. He was a regular guest & upon his passing his owner sent me a card 'from' Winston saying thanks for being my bestfriend when daddy was not around, thanks for putting a smile in my heart when daddy was not there to do it himself and most of all thanks for all the reassuring cuddles & kisses.. from that day on I knew I wanted to get a British Bulldog and name her after Winston xo
