  1. im glad the dog is ok and home, im jealous that you live in a small coastal fishing village - thats my idea of heaven!! if i come and try to get into your yard do you think i could have a spot on your verandah? LMAO
  2. I hope your puppy gets better soon I know how hard this kind of thing can be with the money situation, it really annoys me that vets will turn people away with sick animals, because they can't afford the bill there and then. I do understand that they have a business to run but at the same time, they are in a business that care for sick and injured animals and that should be top priority above ANYTHING else.
  3. Congrats on the new edition to your family, she is beautiful. May I just say you are quite the photographer, Ive always had an interest in photography and then I see photos like yours and I am just so inspired. My two greatest passions rolled into one,(dogs and photography). I cannot wait to get a rescue but at the moment we already have two dogs and I so desperately want another but yeah long story but not allowed as of yet. I hope you and your family have a fantastic Christmas and a happy new year.
  4. Not knowing much about this breed I have always assumed they were aggressive (please don't flame me, Im a newbie at dogs) i guess they just look scary to people who dont know much about them, they are very beautiful, and I love the fact that they are so placid and HUGE!! Keep the pics coming guys, I think I will be haunting this thread too, along with the bostons, pugs, danes, dachshunds ...you get the picture.
  5. Signed, I also copied and pasted the article into an email, with a link to the petition and forwarded it on to all my email contacts. I hope that *&^%$#%%^$%$$%%$$$%%### rots in jail. Absolutely disgusting excuse for a human being.
  6. Im glad i have DOL as a info source, i haven't read about them having this done, i assumed it was something we just had to deal with and ensure the dog stays as comfortable as possible, it is unfortunate that it comes down to surgery for the little guys, but after all the swellings gone away and healing has begun , im sure it would improve there quality of life greatly, and as any animal does deserve a great life full of love and kindness, pugs seem like amazing dogs... I hope your rescue is doing better now
  7. Hi, I am interested in getting a pug sometime in the future, i have researched the breed a fair bit but will will doing much more before i actually get one, I am aware that they do have breathing difficulties due to the breed being brachycephalic...please correct me if im wrong i am a newbie when it comes to dogs, is this operation a common thing to have done to brachycephalic breeds or just in extreme cases?
