  1. Oh I have been looking for this movie for so long, thankyou thankyou thankyou I will watch it tonight, im sure its going to make me cry so much!!
  2. I like the fact that Im a CDL!!! I wish I knew more people like that in person
  3. ABSOLUTELY NOT!! used condoms ewww that is so disgusting and not to mention all the other stuff that could hurt you are your dog. how are things going??? the cameras up yet.
  4. My partner worries about this all the time, when its our time to have children, and I worry it may come true, I even consider the possibility of not having human babies because I love dogs more and yes Im serious I am scared to have babies because I dont want to spend less time with my future dog. and the other day OH tells me that we should wait until we have a child so we can get a dog at the same we have a baby thats wayyyy too long away My partner also tells me that I give the animals more affection and attention than I do them I shouldnt laugh though cause they get very upset about it. Is there something wrong with me that I would rather have dogs and cats over human babies?
  5. id take a snake ANY DAY over a spider. oh NO WAY - I would rather have 50 spiders in my house than even half a dead snake we probably do have 50 spiders come to think about it the only ones I ever kill are redbacks and white tails (i think thats what they are) OT - I was driving one night to go get some take out and I slowed down coming up to a roundabout and then hit the brake so hard and screamed the loudest girly scream imaginable - and im not a girly screamer - there was a HUGE huntsman on the windscreen level with my eyes (on the outside). I pulled over into the car park and got out of the car (more of a jump tho) I made my partner help me find this spider as it had now dissapeared from the windscreen down near my door. standing about a metre or so from the car I watch it squeeze in the gap in my door it was so creepy it kind of went in one leg at a time real slow until it had all disappeared and head down to the accelerator and brake Im in the carpark doing a little jump up and down on the spot "babe get it ouuuuuuuuuuut" I didnt want it dead but I also didnt want to have it crawl on me while driving. my partner managed to get it out of the car and we drove off and after all that when I had reversed out of the carpark - the back wheel had run over it I felt so bad for the poor thing even though I swear it was the size of my hand and it had the biggest ugliest bum on it eeeerrrgh, i still shudder thinking about it - and I prefer spiders over snakes I dont even know how i would react if I saw a snake in our yard.
  6. So glad your dogs are ok, how scary for you, do you live in the suburbs or on more of a rural property, i only ask as I live in the armadale area and today I had a dream about a gazillion brown snakes trying to bite me and then I got bitten, I woke up petrified Im not a big fan of snakes and I didnt even know we got brown snakes here and are they easy to tell the difference between them and a dugite?
  7. That is the cutest thing I have ever read. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post video.
  8. wow that is every dog owners worst nightmare, so glad everyone came out ok. Big hugs to you and your dogs. and thankyou for sharing your experience, I hope you dont get flamed for your actions today as you would feel enough guilt as it is without others letting you know it was wrong. It took guts to share what you did
  9. omg I just read this, that poor man, I also feel sorry for the bullmastiffs now, they will probably all dubbed as killers, look out will this be the next breed to suffer from BSL ???
  10. yeah, its a hard situation but like you said i guess all you can do is inform others of the positives, thanks for some great responses guys. :D
  11. I think snakes are incredible creatures and I find them very fascinating as long as they are on the tv or in some kind of enclosure. just looking at that picture gave me the heebies, one day I hope to live on a property and that is the one thing I dread is snakes eek. Glad you and your dogs are safe and that the snake is gone, did you watch the man catch it? If that had been me watching him, i would have had my hand over my mouth, teeth clenched and every time the snake moved I would scream I respect snakes but Im freakin petrified of them.
  12. omg im so sorry you had to put up with that, that lady sounds like a total idiot, I hope you and your dog are ok
  13. Wow, i have just read this thread from first to last page, I am so sorry to hear about Reg, he sounded like a beautiful fella and Indi you did such an amazing job in helping your friend, I agree with alot of people who said if there dog got sick they wish they had a friend like you around. I was so sad to read about Reg,im tearing up At least no he is free from pain, doesnt make it any easier though ;) Sending hugs to you and Regs owner.
  14. Oh my god!!! that must have made you feel like absolute s**t, if someone had said that to me I would have started crying right there and then So im assuming this lady either had a bad experience with a GSD or knows someone who did, but that doesn't make your dog a crazed loony. Im guessing some dogs just arn't wired right in the head or they have obviously had something bad happen to them and have fear issues or people aggression because of it. Well this is what I imagine anyway, please correct if im wrong.
  15. that really sucks, i dont know how else to say it other than yeah it sucks, i hope the next appointment you have provides you with some answers so you and charlie can go back to happy healthy times
  16. excuse me for my lack of knowledge lol, what does this mean for charlie, is this condition treatable? I have seen you around in the forums a bit and its very obvious that you love your dog so much and to have a bone issue so young makes me feel for you very much I looked at your sig and saw that he is only 11 months old and I thought OMG hes so young and to already going through so much, I cant even begin to imagine how hard this must be for you and charlie.
  17. hahaha, so cute, I wish they could really understand english and it would even better if they could talk to us!!!
  18. awwww so cute, look at that face. Love the name - Famous Last Words is the name of my favourite song
  19. Yeah, I have heard that rotties, dobes and even GSDs also have had very bad reps and now its all about the poor pitty. The poor babies, when are they going to realize that its dickhead owners who are the problem. its sad that because of the reputation that a APBT has, it attracts people that want dogs for the wrong reason. (fighting etc) I understand that some dogs are people aggressive but i dont think its any more likely to come from a APBT than a freakin Chihuahua ( the most aggressive dog i had ever met was a chi) I was petrified of it after it came at me from under my friends kitchen table, teeth exposed lunging(sp?) at me,trying to bite me I dont hate chis because of one bad experience i understand that it was that particular dog not the entire freakin breed, so why cant everyone else see that?
  20. Hey, great to hear from you too, I've been quiet lately trying not to torture myself by looking at your beautiful Boston pics Bit scared about letting her have pups? would be a very overwhelming experience but so amazing and exciting ;)
  21. Oh cazzie, is Miss Maddie going to be a mum?? I cant wait to see the progress, I will be lurking around when the time comes, must have pics!! Oh wow this is so exciting!!!! ;)
  22. awww I love this dog, i have seen videos of him before, this to me is the ideal training of a dog, he is freakin amazing!!!
  23. I must have been living under a rock for a few years as I have only heard about this now. Watching that video made my cry, that poor dog. How can the council be allowed to still keep Bruce there in those conditions, why hasnt a animal rights group stepped in and done something. My heart goes out to the family of Bruce and to Bruce himself you are such a beautiful baby and you dont deserve this, enough is enough and Bruce needs to be at home with his family. :D
  24. Ok, I hope this is ok to post here. I've read news articles etc and before I had met one I will admit I was frightened of them because of all the bad stuff I had heard, I have only ever met 2 pitbulls and they were the most amazing cuddly friendly dogs EVER, every time I would go see a friend of mine who had one, as soon as she realized it was me she would run over to me and want a cuddle, when I sat down in the house there she was leaning into my legs "pat me pat me pat me" Most people I know would never own a pit bull - "oh i wouldn't trust them etc etc" So the way I see it every dog has a likely-hood of being aggressive, If you were to purchase a APBT from a reputable breeder with temperament history or whatever, what makes those dogs anymore likely to attack than the next breed? Im sorry if this is a written wrong, I want to know why pit bulls have such a bad name, isnt it all about how the dog is raised?
  25. crazy aren't they?? When we let the dogs out for the toilet they dont go and lay on the cool shaded pavers after they have finished there business, noooo you guessed it, out in the blistering heat on the lawn we only let them stay out there for a short amount of time and then its "come on inside" Im surprised there fur doesn't catch on fire
