i had one of those OH who didn't want another dog. I broke him down luckily. My first dog loves playing with other dogs and its working out fantastically. there is still a borzoi pup looking for a home you know ;) Well atleast last time i checked.

Not a very good photo but here are my two.

sounds like there wont be cc's for the benefits. they need to be called Championship shows to get CC's.

Oberon steals my bras so i'll chase him.

whether its easier for a rare breed to gain its title over a common breed, has been discussed numerous times. Theres such a thing as a non award, and i for one, in a rare breed, hate turning up to no competition, and with a good example of the breed with little competition it will actually take longer to get his title than an equally good example in a common breed. so don't cry foul.

Why Do Sighthounds Tend To Be Timid/sensitive?
pixie_meg replied to corvus's topic in General Dog Discussion
Corvus, i'm not offended either, but felt the need to state my observations. I think this thread is valuable in educating people about sighthound nature. It is quite different to other groups of dog. -

only ever met one timid borzoi and she had an unknown history. I've met a lot of borzoi and they are quite bold imo and yes even when comparing to a rottie. Same for wolfhounds. Haven't met a timid pharaoh or ibizan or afghan for that matter. They can sometimes be a little sensitive touch wise and aloof but not the same thing. Some whippets i've known are more shy but given their size comparatively i don't blame them. Were the group of sighthound you surveyed had proper socialisation? -
thats been my worry about taking my pup to the vets for his vax. Its like the worst place for an unvaccinated pup.

Which Dry Dogfood Does Your Dog Like Best?
pixie_meg replied to Stitch's topic in General Dog Discussion
we've tried a lot and Oberon likes Royal Canin best. Other we've tried are: Optimum Purina One Artemis Eaglepack Nutro Earthborn and RAW. And it wasn't an option for me to have my dog suck it up and eat what its given when it had been a struggle to get weight on him. -
Sending healing vibes to Amber for her continued improvement.

we use the spirals but also zip ties. you just thread the spirals on turning them. hard to explain

i'm fairly new to showing but its not something i've heard of.

if its part of the google adwords ads, you'll find you can't control who you get, but once you see one you don't want as admin, you can choose to ban that advertiser.

I like what you're saying Poodlefan.

so very tempted. Myself and my borzois would be interested though long coated, the pup is currently short coated. I'll send a pm.

Oberon has been on Royal Canin German Shepherd which is 19% fat. But the junior is 16% fat. I guess its just based on what i use. never mind. Bought the German shepherd junior for Adonis. The Adult version has done wonderful things for Oberon so I hope the junior is just as good.

I see that on most puppy foods there is less fat %. And often people say don't give a growing puppy too much fat, but say with a breed like Borzoi or saluki where they generally have trouble keeping weight on, would it be ok to have a higher fat food for them so long as the cal/Phos ratio is still correct. And whats with the high protein in some puppy foods?

Ok, so i have a new show pup. whats the process for starting to show him when i already have cccq membership and have been showing my other dog. Just can't remember if i need to register the new pup who is from another state with the state i am in.

Thank you for entrusting our family with him. he is indeed a gorgeous soul. Cheekiness coming out now. He was running off with packets of food i'd bought at the shops tonight.
