just thought i'd check. do you mean $15 per kg or $150? I just found that Cotton tree Butchers at Maroochydore QLD do minced chicken frames for $1.20 per bag. no kg amount on the bag but i think its over 1kg. More meaty than some i've bought.

Now This Is Dancing With A Dog. So Cool.

i got it off facebook too. I wondered about the hind legs too but it seemed pretty comfortable. maybe it has really built the muscles necessary to do that. -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UenPv_Ajfw The goldie makes it look too easy.

As the title says, do they have tunnels big enough for borzois in comps? Also Borzoi seem a little different in their movement so can they get down low like the other dogs and do it fast?

Absolutely love it!!

Does Your Dog/ Puppy Growl When Playing?
pixie_meg replied to heroeswit's topic in General Dog Discussion
my boy barks and growls in play. its different to a real growl. he's never done a real growl that i've seen, but his posture is all play when he does his play growl. Mind you its also the only time he makes a sound. -
Should I Be Concerned About These?
pixie_meg replied to Beth.'s topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
looks similar to a rash that started on oberons chest many months ago that got worse and the vet said it was flea allergy. Still don't know for sure if it was flea allergy, i thought it was more related to his heartworm chewable. he hasn't had it since but doesn't get many fleas. -
removed by myself as i don't need it public anymore. served its purpose as a rant.

i think we will be going again on the 12th. was a good day, will just have to figure out a way to force Oberon to rest in between runs.

Borzoi zoomies. blur zoomies borzoi puppy zoomie. I really need to figure out how to take pictures of moving dogs.

i bought my eaglepack and other food from www.pookinuk.com.au

was the puppy school run by a vet? often vets recommend hills science diet as they sell it. If you look at the ingredients and compare to ther premium food like artemis and eaglepack you'll see a big difference. certain grains are better than others. I'm sure other people will be able to recommend some good dry foods as well as BARF as options. i think corn is one of the worst from memory. in terms of socialisation, i prefer the use of a calm adult dog/s. puppies all together can be crazy.

bowen helped my wrist injury with only one session after 10 yrs of cold weather pain. i no longer suffer from winter pains. i ahd tried accupuncture and i did not want to go with surgery, so i'm very happy.

What Is Your Dog's Favourite Chew Toy?
pixie_meg replied to Staranais's topic in General Dog Discussion
empty soft drink bottles are my dogs favourite. -
Tour dog was so intense. I thought that may have been you. He was awesome, certainly loves the chase. Oberon had a great day doing his first run. He did really well on his first run but on his second couldn't be bothered it seemed. it was a long day. We're being encouraged to bring him back.

see you there.

just have to hope that the weather is good for sunday. I really want to go. MTD, Oberon would love a cuddle.
-
who is going on Sunday to the 20th Anniversary? We will be. YAY!! Finally able to make it so long as the kids can be babysat which shouldn't be a problem.
-
ahh yes the mess. theres a few footprints occassionally and the hair but my kids are atrociously messy i cant stand it.
-
we did it the opposite way by having kids first. kids are hard and when we got our dog and read about all ofl the stress of owning a pup i just couldn't understand. owning a dog was easy peasy in comparison to kids. Mind you i do call Oberon my third child substitute and i somewhat chose a boy to even out the balance in our household.

thanks guys, yes i would prefer a vasectomy as the permanent option unless some other reason come up to legitimise taking his hormones away. so no harm in doing it now with a vasectomy. I'll ask my local vet. Problem with turining up with a piece of paper at the park is that i personally wont know if a bitch is in season unless my dog is amorous and by then it will be possibly too late. its a very large dog park and i am not as fast as my dog.
-
Anyone know of a vet that does vasectomies in SE QLD? Due to Oberon being a giant breed we don't want to fully desex till he is 18 months old but that is 6 months away. My concern is that he has interactions with a female undesexed at our large dog park and i know these things can happen very quickly. While I know the other owner would not want crossbred puppies on their hands as do i, i'd rather have some definite control in knowing that he wont be fathering any pups. Also how often do dogs come into season? Oberons doggy friend(standard poodle) just had her first season, so when would you say would likely be her next?

my boy gets hygromas but since any dog can get them i voted other for the bone/joint issues and no for the other 2.

What Breeds Wouldn't You Recommend For A First Time Onwer?
pixie_meg replied to aussielover's topic in General Dog Discussion
yes generalisation but i am nodding along with your assumption. the teenagers down the road have turned their swf into an aggressive little horror and laugh when it lunges at my boy.
