We had a good night Kimba is doing well, her milk started to come through last night so just had to give them a little bit each. I weighed them at around 11.30pm and they have already put on between 20-30 grams each They are that bloody gorgeous that I now look like a walking zombie I am sleeping(well laying) right next to Kimba and her bubba's and I would just start to dose, then a puppy would make a little noice and I would jump straight up witought thinking...And there's Kimba looking at me like, 'They are fine, MUM' It looks like that we have, so far, 2 reds, 1 really deep red one and the other 3 all different shades of brindle....I am so rapt with this litter and being Ody's first litter, I am over the moon with the way they look..... And just think, in another 14 odd days, we will have more little bubba's Your turn next Lappiemum

Kimba is now and has gone straight into mothering duties I am so relieved that she is ok, will just have suppliment puppies till her milk comes through...

We have puppies 5 puppies born by c-section, 1male 4 females, so looks like 1red female 1black/brindle female spittin image of Cynda, 1 tiger brindle female, 1 brinlde female and 1 brindle male. All puppies are doing well but Kimba is still at vets as she is a bit anemic Will be going to pick her up at 8pm...

OK, now the temp has gone down to 36.1 but no other signs...

My vet has just rung me for an update. Will just wait and see if things progress through the day....

Yep, I do already know how it all works its just I dont want Kimba to get into trouble this time like she did with her last litter. My vet knows Kimba's history, and she was the one that recommended an elective c-section. I did ring her last night, and will do again after 10 this morning (vets have got a meeting till 10). I have just cleaned out Kimba's whelping box and pen and made it a bit bigger for her and I think I have a 'Paws' up from Kimba 'cause she is in there now, tail waggin

It goes down to 36.9, then 36.7, then goes back up to 37.3 - 37.4 which is her normal temp. She is not doing anything else, other than a loss of appetite, but no nesting etc. She knows the drill already, every time she sees the thermometer, she will and turn her bum to me

Thanks mate. Her temp has gone down then up again and within the hour. I'm sure it wasn't like this first time round. She is very sleepy, and down't want to move of the couch..So time will tell I guess..

Nothing else to add other than her temp is still going up then down, then up and then down again She has got heaps of milk now also. Going to ring vet this morning and have a talk about our options. After Kimba's ordeal with her first litter, and Kimba being such a dainty little girl, my vet and I have decided on Kimba having a c-section. Dont want anything to happen this time, especially not to my Kimba.

Well tonight she has had a temp drop which was at 6pm. Then it went back up at 8pm, now is going back down again. She is not eating but no other signs, as yet

I have a bitch who is due any day now and she too has been scratching and one of her titties is a complete mess. Have tried, pawpaw, bepanthen, and she is still scratching it. A friend has just put me on to ;Lansinoh' which is used for nursing mothers and is fine for babies so would be fine for puppies too.

Tasha looks so happy that she is going to be a mummy. Look at that smile ;) Kimba is still hangin in there.....

Here are a couple of photos taken of Kimmy today. She is way over it now and i dont think I blame her.... Not long now darling She is constantly by my side. I cannot go anywhere without her in tow now. And if we are sitting down, she will just sit and stare at me for ages...

Way to go Missymoo Hope he continues to improve....

Nutrigel is our saviour hee too I bought one of the dog food packets which have meat and vegies little rissole things in them a dn she had them for a couple of meals. But now she is going with good old polony and cheese cut up. She hasn't had anything this morning though but temp is still normal.

Missymoo, they are gorgeous. Good news about the little one . Hope he continues to improve.

Apperntly to be able to keep and deliver a little the progestrone levels have to be quite high, normally in the range of what they are when they are ovulating. All is fin hee. Nothing yet other than Imust of court a bloody tummy bug of some sort as I have been up all night with a wicked sore belly(feeling of being full but haven't eaten) and vomiting .Think Kimba was getting worried bout me as she came and sat next to me and licked my face...

My son had bmx tonight so I opted to take him, will be the last time for a while. Checked Kimba's temp before I went, and all was fine. When I got home, she has done this real squirty, runny/thick brown poo which was simular to the mucas this morning. But it didn't have the smell of shit so just dunno. She is happy and all, took her outside and all she wants to do is play with her ball So looks like I will be having a alnighter

When we had Cynda scanned at 4weeks, we saw 4 puppies but 1 didn't look right. The vet seems to think that 1 was possible being obsorbed :D I do know that progestrone levels do play a big part in the bitches ability to go full term without obsorbing but you have to come across a vet that knows all about it and who is prepared to help you with it. All the best :D

What day is she up to? Is it 54? It will be day 56. That was taken from day 12 of her season and she mated on day 10 also.
