  1. I am going through thte exact same sitiuation at the moment. I had a ultrasound done on Kimba at 4 weeks and no puppies. She is now 6 weeks and I am going to go and get another one done as I do think that there might be at least 1 in there. If not, then at least I will know.
  2. What a belly at 4 weeks. I still dont know what to think of Kimmy girl. Very strange believe me. Still showing all the right signs and her temprement has changed dramatically. Very sooky, also gets little scared when I yell at the kids (which is quite often ) shaking in the morning due to being cold. So I am opting to take her in next week ( vet is on holidays till Monday) and have another scan just be on the safe side. I do not want to wake up and there be a suprise on my bed for me She will be around 6 weeks now. I can feel 1 strange hard lump in her belly and I have no idea what it is. I am still not going to get my hopes up again though....
  3. me too Just couldn't keep my eyes open...
  4. Gero is a good weekend of showing. Nice relaxed country atmosphere and well worth the 10 hour round trip
  5. Glad that the little dog seems to be OK, BUT I would be still jumping the fence to take it home until the neighbour can get home. But thats just me....
  6. :D Congratulations on all the confirmed litters I now dont think we have any stafford puppies on their way Just dont think it was meant to happen this time. Hopefully we will have better luck next time.
  7. Poor dog :D If the other dogs are not aggressive, then I would be jumping the fence to take the injured/dead one home until the neighbour arrives. Or ring rangers/vet, to see what they suggest.
  8. HI, I am just making an enquirey at this point to see if anyone is heading to SA for the stafford champ shows on the 16th and 17th (there are also obedience and agility trials on the same weekend). I am thinking about it and have enquired on how much would be to fly and have worked out a rouch estimate on how much to drive ( ). It would be cheaper to drive BUT, longer. I have a new dog trailer(large 4 berth with wardrobe, a/c ) and also a landcruiser so would have the room. If anyone is interested then please let me know.
  9. OMG, I had to register and stay up to watch the agility didn't I . Today I am going to ned alot of Was brilliant though and how fast are those agility dogs, wow. Terriers are on today Does anyone know the time difference between the UK and WA?
  10. thats an idea or another thought, a silent alarm that is connected to your keys for example, so when activated, you will hear it from your end then the culprit wouldn't know what hit him
  11. Bloody hell. Our beloved dogs are not safe even in their own trailer. You have just made me think about getting locking systems on my trailer doors too. Maybe an alarm system too. One that lets you know when a door is opened. And I would have it so loud, that if someone tries to open the doors, it would go off and scare the shite out of them so I would have time to come and uprehend the cultprit
  12. :D That was unreal. If only they put that much thought and effort into their food.
  13. Congratulations on all the April litters. Hope all goes well for everyone. Kimba has been acting very strange lately. Very sooky, jelous of other dogs and the cats, and now she is not eating. SHe still has a pink belly and enlarged nipples so I am still going to watch her like a hawk. I am thinking, just maybe,(well actually hoping) there was 1 or 2 hiding up under her ribs and is going to make a suprise entrance. I did here of another local breeder (different breed) that had an ultrasound at the same time and got the same result, no puppies. BUT then went on to have 4 healthy puppies.
  14. Yes well I will still watch her to see how she goes over the next couple of weeks but the vet was definately sure that she couldn't feel ( on palpation) or see anything. I have spoken to a couple of breeders and they said to wait and see too. As they have had no puppies show up on the ultasound at 4 weeks but requested another ultrasound at 51/2 weeks and yep, there were puppies. So there still could be a chance. WIll just have to wait and see
  15. Looks like Kimmy might be having a phantom I am a bit disappointed as I was really looking forward to this litter
  16. Our vets are a bit backward in coming forward and find it easier to see if they dont have anything else in their bellies. Apparently they can go do a ultrasound course but they havn't done it, obviously.
  17. Thankyou and fingers crossed for you all too. She isn't very happy with me at the moment Giving me the look of 'I'm starving'
  18. Me too. At least there are some people trying to stop these horrible puppy mills. And Cesar good on you for helping with thoe poor dogs that haven't had the chance to live life as they should.
  19. 5 mins. Saw the add, and OMG, make sure you all have you box of tissues with you
  20. OK, the countdown is on for the ultrasound. SHe has just had her last meal for 24hours as have to fast her for ultrasound. All is still looking good though
  21. Ok, Kimba wouldn't cooperate with me so I had to use her toy and then she cracked the shits cause I wouldn't give it to her
  22. Kimba is has popped out already. Its like she gained 5 weeks overnight. If the scan on Friday is a no show, then she is having a wicked phantom. I'll see if I can get some more photo's.
  23. Good Luck to evryone that is showing. We might not be showing for a while as my boy Ody got out and got hit by a car. He still has a limp in his back end and grazes which have turned into scars. I am hoping he is back to 100% before the Gero champ show in May. Is anyone else coming up for that one? And we might have puppies as I mated him and Kimba the morning of his accident. Find out this Friday but all sogns are there so here's hoping we have little Ody's early April.
  24. BYB make enough bloody money on the number of litters they pump out. And have you seen the size of the bloody microchip needle , there is not way I could do it.
  25. This will be her second litter. Her first was in Jan of 2009 with the result being our lovely girl Cynda, and her sister and her 2 bothers. I am really hoping that she is in pup. All the signs are there and I also know it is going to be a very looooooooooooooooooooooooong 4 days ;)
