Today, the 1st of December 2004, would of been Abby's 3rd birthday. So in honour of a wonderful dog who taught me so much and who I will never forget I wrote a poem If you were here today You would be three Running around playing Young and carefree If you were here today I’d pick you up and give you cuddles Lay down with you and pat you As you gave me snuggles. But you are not here today Nor will you be here tomorrow And when I think of that It fills my heart with sorrow. You got sick And had to leave ‘Back home you must come’ God said ‘Come with me now, please’ And off you went To The Rainbow Bridge To frolic and play And have fun with others gone before you But if you were here now You would be three So I have this too say: Happy Birthday to you, My sweet angel, Abby. Its been almost four months since I lost my Abby, so i can understand your loss The pain for them starts to go, but the ache in your heart over missing them is always with you. I hope Abby and Fergie are playing together at the bridge while the wait for us RIP Fergie.

So Sorry for your loss Cynthia :p. I know how hard it is too loose a pet. Hang in there, things will get better. Remember all the good times you and Sasha had. She is at peace now. :p

That was so beautiful Mischeif Maker. Thank you so much for sending. It brought tears to my eyes but at the same time peace knowing our babies are up there with each other waiting for us.

Mischeif Maker you are in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time. I know that pain you are feeling as I had to put down my beloved Abby a short while ago and to this day that pain is still there. I believe the pain of missing her always will be. I can assure you though that it slowly gets easier to deal with and the pain the memories bring you slowly turn to happiness as you remember all the wonderful times you and your babies shared with each other. Sometimes I still have to pinch myself and tell myself that Abby is gone, i too just want to run back to the vets and somehow wake her up. The hardest part is missing her and constantly reminding myself that she is really gone so I completley understand what you are going through right now. I believe that you did what was best for Mischeif and Speely and they are now in a place where they can run free. Hugs :D to you through this tough time and know that things will get better. I saw this on another forum I visit. What does everyone here who has lost a pet do to remember them by? To remember Abby I have a picture of her next to my bed and one on my shelves. I have the collage I made to remember her by hanging on my wall and her ashes sit in my room atop my bookshelf. I put all her things (lead, collar, favourite toy) in a box called 'Abbys box' and Im forever finding little white hairs all around the place because she shed alot, but they remind me of good times.

Fergie is in a better place now, but I understand your pain. Hugs to you :D
