Came back from the vet this morning :s Very upset - Puppy is blind in One eye and partialy blind in the other ;) He wont recover, and there isnt anything I can do What would you do??? Breeder wants me to take it back to have it put down :D Whats it like living with a blind dog???

I wouldn't use a dog for breeding to be honest if there was something wrong (health wise any way... just to be safe) At this stage not looking at breeding just yet Thank you for your advice so far We'll see what the vet has to say tomorrow See if I can fine a specilest out here lol

So you bred the pup that has the problem? No I actually bought it from a breeder I do not have females but not entire Thats why I guess I'm not sure what to do... where I stand... Its clearly not an external ingury I think I am more disapointed then anything. To be honest I dont think I would have taken it if I knew. I bought it for the show ring PS. This might sound silly but I'm actually a bit scared to go back to the breeder :s

I knew about PRA in the breed, and to be honest I researched the lines of this dog... If my pets had it I guess it wouldnt suprise me as a 'pet breeder' may not have intentional bread the dogs or known about it I only really noticed it tonight so will be going off to the vet tomorrow. Would an experianced breeder pick something like this up? It's actually one of my new puppies that I have noticed this in :s

Hi, I have several Papillons and have a feeling one is blind in one eye (all my paps are under 2years) I guess firstly any help or advice would be greatly appreciated I am not being overly specific here and know that it wont help for specific help But I guess just after general support, ideas, signs, your past experiences etc. Is it usually a genetic condition? Can I show? Any advice would be greatly appreciated I do have a few other issues lol if you feel you can help please PM me ;) Papillon Lover
