I have been happy with my petplan insurance so far (over $3000 in claims in a year) but the time it takes for your refund leaves a lot to be desired. The fastest I have ever received a cheque is 4.5 weeks. I have had to call a couple of times and have always found them courteous and helpful, however I am sick of getting the same excuses of there being a 'backlog' particulary when its a large claim that is gaining interest on your credit card awaiting a cheque to pay it.

We cant make the 21st my partner is doing the round the bay in a day bike ride and I am the support crew. We can do the 28th, but of course majority rules. Carrie, my mate who brings her 2 dogs cant do the 21st also but can do the 28th. Mah its all so complicated!

does anyone know of any contacts that may be able to help me rehome 4 stray kittens in melbourne? my partner first noticed them in an industrial area near a kebab van. after speaking with the van owner, they were born in the parking lot and have lived there since. mum and at least one kitten have been run over as it is on a busy road they are lovely looking kittens, well looked after by well meaning customers who feed them. i would keep them here but OH is badly allergic to cats. I am happy to trap and transport them to anywhere they need to go. i rang the council but they dont collect cats unless trapped and apparently they are aware of the kittens any contacts would be wonderful, I really want to help them if I can

We have 3 dogs 2 pugs (Bert 3 yrs and Bruce 10 mths) 1 border collie (sally 3 yrs). If we wern't thinking of starting a family I would get number 4- another border collie, probably a rescue. But with baby plans in the air 3 is our limit- and Bruce is enough to consider to be 2 dogs! :laugh:

I have had pet insurance for Bruce since he was 8 weeks old. He is now 10 months and we have claimed over $3000, only paying premiums of around $400 plus $100 excess. There is no way we could have a $10,000 fund just sitting around so insurance recommends value and peace of mind for us. we are with petplan who cover a condition for life, not just to your claim limit. we havent had any problems with them thus far. they have been a little slow (almost 4 weeks to receive cheque) but claiming has been relatively painless despite the forms.

I buy the same all wormer that the vets used to supply me with direct online. It is 1/5 of the price. I will post the website when I get home :)
