  1. No worries Lovey. Glad if they help out. Better than trying to constantly pull up a "visual" in your own mind & trying to describe it to other people. You can shoot them off to other people or send them a link to the thread. I hope you didn't trek through that first paddock in your usual thongs Darl. There's all sorts of "nasties" underfoot. I meant footwear Lovey, not underwear. :D Stirrer. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D got ur pm, will give you a call after I finish work- cant make private calls in office environment always ears listening
  2. have emailed a few places inquiring if they hire traps, fingers crossed we get some love
  3. just checked with the council i work for now, melton shire, and they dont have big ones only cat size ones
  4. are you sure its brimbank and not hume council? tullamarinie is part of hume. I used to work for hume council, could see if we could get a trap from them
  5. forgot to say we went round again last night and spotted him, but again no cigar. if he is still around next weekend i think we should get a group together, or even possibly one night after work. i feel with a few people, knowing the area, we could catch the little bugger. just two isnt enough
  6. sorry, google earth is a program not a website so there is no link to send I have copied and pasted the pic into word and emailed that to you, should work
  7. I sent 2: one a large scope and one a closer look

  11. if you can pm me ur email, I may be able to send a google earth image to you of the area
  12. it is a very large area and the grass is very long. when we spotted him last night he was in the factory bit in the street hiding under some debris in a print factory front yard. as soon as he took off behind the factories tho, we couldnt follow in the dark. so i agree a large search party at night wouldnt work. we were going to lay some food down tonight and then hide and see if that worked, but only in the street not the undergrowth as its too dangerous at night. tomorrow being fathers day, dont know if a lot of people could make it for a search party. i agree with gsds, too dangerous to venture into the grassed area at night. its a broken leg waiting to happen.
  13. maybe we should get a price for a trap? might be worth considering.
  14. i think it would take around a dozen people to trap him/her, very quick and cunning
  15. I'm not sure if its a boy or a girl sorry, just didnt want to call it 'it' so have been alternating between he and she its hard to tell if she is cream or white as she is quite dirty. i would lean more towards white tho sorry i havent been much help
  16. from the look of her (and i am no expert) she looks exactly like the wgsd I have seen at the dog park. even has the sloping back. she appeared to be sleeping undercover under some debris so i dont think she is sleeping in a drain. think we frightened her out of her sleep. i'll pm you my number a bit later, not sure what time we will get around there. will probably be around dinner time or even later. now to find the smelliest food we can
  17. well we drove around for around 1/2 an hour. we found her, hiding in the yard of sign factory OH was leaning out the window going 'pup pup pup' and up she popped. looks very dirty and frightened. she seemed to want to come but then took off behind the factories and we didnt stand a chance. ;) we will go back tomorrrow night with some really smelly food, we have a bit of a plan we want to try. poor thing, its so cold and rainy i so wanted to catch her
  18. we're off now, bright flash lights at the ready and OH is even bringing the night vision goggles can you pm me your number, just in case? we dont really have the set up here to keep a stray dog, tho we could leave him in our backyard overnight if need be (there is shelter and a kennel). have to catch him/her first tho!
  19. forgot to add puggerup, we're planning on getting another pug, a little black one this time
  20. we'll head off in about an hour for another look- armed with tasty treats. I am sure I have seen this dog before, almost positive sorry we cant help tomorrow, we have dog obedience and a family function
  21. we also want a third dog, but have a few recent financial difficulties due to OH having no job for 2 months. he has a job now, but it will take a few months to get back on our feet. so we have shelved our plans for another dog until next year
  22. drove all around tullamarine, round gladstone park and no sign of puppy will do another drive around later with OH when all the factories close- that area is full of them and someone might be holding them with them for the day and dog might reappear once everyone is gone.
  23. i live there, when i finish work I'll do a drive around :D thankyou, apparently he is very frightened and thin. oh! it just occured to me, I've seen this dog before
