  1. English ivy - not questioning what you feed ivy as it sounds magnificent! I have health issues and my gp and dieticians insisted I include turmeric in my diet at least 4 times weekly, I used organic powdered turmeric. Where have you found the links between diet and lipomas? Do you think they're due to the liver having to work out toxins from the diet out of the body? Just interested as I'm always trying to learn :) Or do you think it's because a stressed digestive system increases chance of lipomas? Edit: I guess what I'm trying to ask is do you think her previous diet contributed to the lipomas? And can you break down how this new, rawer diet is helping her body not produce any more lipomas? You've clearly done your research and we all want to keep our companions with us for as long as possible and give them the very best :)
  2. I've used the natural animal solutions one and it's worked well for my boy. Atm he is only on the omega oils but in summer and spring he'll be back on the digestivite plus :)
  3. Could you use herbaguard powder for Odie as it's a natural based product? From the natural animal solutions range...
  4. I'd check out clipper world for attachments etc. Their thinning and styling scissors are good quality too. For my schnauzer I used a 10 blade on the body and scissor the furnishings :)
  5. Love it! Read it religiously :)
  6. Paw have an oseteocare range, including chews and tablets. I've found them helpful - although I'm about to try the prescription additive from natural animal solutions as it's been recommended. Rosehip vital canine did nothing for my older dog but that's just me :)
  7. I'm pretty sure advance do an active that is 30/20 too. Not that I need to feed it to my mini schnauzer! He's happy on his couple of tablespoons of black hawk lamb a day :) (plus barf)
  8. A couple of the lagotti I've met have been timid but never aggressive. There's an animal scientist in Vic who is also a breeder of lagotti. She breeds them as opposed to the aussie shepherds she used to be devoted to because she thinks they are an example of what is considered a fantastic modern pet. I've met one of hers, active as anything and slightly nutty but not timid...
  9. I have a Subaru impreza and find it really practical for my little dog and me - however if I had a large breed or multiple dogs I'd be getting a wagon - much more room in the back for them. There are some really nice ones around atm too :)
  10. I don't know of any in nsw but binky babies bunny rescue down here in vic may know someone in nsw who can help - if nothing else they'll put the bunny on their Facebook page :)
  11. My mini schnauzer has always loved and respected my cats. The burmese was always boss until he passed a couple of months ago (is it that long already?) and he was allowed supervised outside time in his old age. He was supervised by both myself and my schnauzer who would patrolled perimeter in case the local tom came by. I can guarantee you that my schnauzer is still grieving losing Beans and has spent more time grooming, playing and snoozing with the other cat he has access to. I have loved the versatility of the breed for the 7 years I've had my boy. Comes to work sometimes, stays at home others. Enjoys a party at home and loves chilling on the couch. Easy to train and enjoyable to live with. Also, easy to fit in a hatchback, SUV or wagon boot and still have heaps of other stuff or ppl in the car!
  12. Krislin I'm so sorry. You gave her the best of what life could possibly offer and gave her all the love in the world. Perhaps she paid you back in kind by giving those friends around you a nudge to keep you company on the hardest of days. Thinking of you
  13. Sending the best healing vibes possible rascal. Come on astro...
  14. I've used the paw on my mini schnauzer and it was better than aloveen shampoo. I used the medicated one :)
  15. Awesome! Go Sascha :) However where is the emoticon of this thread is useless without photos?!
  16. Pm Becks about giant schnauzers :) I would vote rotti though
  17. Subaru - pretty much any one you like :)
  18. Natural animal solutions have an omega oil supplement that has omega 3,6,9 in it. I've been giving it to my itchy mini since winter and he's definitely been better this spring. It stinks of fishy goodness though - also it needs to be kept in the fridge. But one squirt in his dinner is all he gets so no fussing around...
  19. If I didn't give my mini schnauzer a decent walk everyday I think he would become destructive. As it is he gets 2 walks and when the second one is missed he needs a good training session indoors to keep him amused. Great dogs but smart and active little busy bodies. I'm not sure any of the terrier breeds suggested would be suitable with one small walk a day, except perhaps a cairn or Lakeland... Why not look at other smaller breeds that have been suggested like bichons and havanese? Lovely little dogs that can cope with smaller amounts of exercise
  20. I've been feeding the lamb for 4 years. My fusspot loves it and his coat and breath gave improved. He's a big fit mini schnauzer at 11kg and he gets 1/2 cup a day. He also has mild grass allergies and the black hawk does well with his immune system.
  21. Update on this old thread: Though not branded a PETSco per se, the pet store in fountain gate (narre warren) that is selling puppies from unknown places is owned, run and operated by PETSco owner and company director. At this stage I am unsure what other stores he still owns and where the animals in these stores are now from. GAWS has removed any PETSco insignia from there website.
  22. You can buy shark cartilage in kilo bags so that may work too? Cheers maddy - those are the ones I meant!
  23. I think blackmores / paws do one? Not sure of the quantities they sell it in but it had heaps of green lip mussel so should be ok. Sorry, not sure where to buy but its a common enough brand
