Scrolled through the topic briefly, not very sure how are things at the moment. But if you're interested, I might be able to drive you to a vet or Lort Smith if you're interested. Just let me know the area you're in etc.

Being a 1st dog owner myself, I can't offer much advice besides what has been suggested by the other helpful DOLers above. Just want to let you know we went through a similar phase with Bailey when we got him. I reckon most puppy owners do. We were really frustrated back then as well, not to mention full of bite marks all over. Took the advice of the great people here and had a personal lesson with a trainer. Worked wonders I tell you. Hang in there!

Reaction Of Chinese People To My Dog

Just saw that darkabsalom said something similar. Practically said what I wanted to, except much better! -
Reaction Of Chinese People To My Dog
luffy4688 replied to GSDowner's topic in General Dog Discussion
Back where I grew up in Malaysia, The GSD was use mainly for 1 purpose only by the chinese, as guard dogs. The were kept around the property and would bark at anyone that passes by. As kids we used to hear all sorts of stories about being chased by them etc. -
Price does sounds right.

How Do You Let Puppy Toilet When Out And About
luffy4688 replied to Lucy's mama's topic in Puppy Chat
Back before bailey had all his vaccinations done, I would normally just carry him for like 20-30 minutes round the block. He normally holds it in alright and I do try to make sure he uses the toilet before we leave the house. If I thought he needs to use the toilet real bad, I try to find a spot that dogs normally don't walk on. -
Our 4 month old pup Bailey still does the occasional accident. I'll say on average every 20-30 days? I reckon mostly it's due to our carelessness of not being vigilant enough though. He does let us know by standing by the door when he needs to go. There was a time when we thought he had got it pretty well before it started going downhill. We went back to basics and it does seems to be working.

Can't help much with the nails there as I'm a 1st puppy owner myself In regards to the kong, you can practically put any food he likes in there. I put mince in there and freeze it. Dog biscuits. Honey. Peanut butter. etc. Do a google search on 'Dog Kong Recipes' and heaps of recipes will come up. Here are some of them. http://www.pet-dog-cat-supply-store.com/in...c=kong-dog-toys http://dogs.thefuntimesguide.com/2006/02/d...g_chew_toys.php http://www.companyofanimals.co.uk/kongrecipe.php

Don't think I'll be able to help you much but a similar thread was started not long ago. http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=175415

My 14 weeks old corgi sleeps with me in the room. He mostly sleeps in the crate by the site of my bed. That was where he slept since I got him from day one. Since he's doing well with his house breaking, he occasionally sleeps on my bed by my side. That being said, he prefers his crate and would half the time jump off the bed and into the crate.

Hi, I'm looking to add some mince into my 14 weeks old corgi's diet. He's currently getting Proplan puppy kibble and chicken frames chopped up to appropriate sizes. The kibble and frames are separated to different meals. My questions is, should I use 1. puppy mince 2. some beef or kangaroo mince(pet grade) 3. Human grade beef or kangaroo mince. I've heard puppy mince can be a little fatty. I was thinking of human grade as in it's more lean and he already gets some bones in the form of chicken frames. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Than you.

I know this is off topic, but they are gorgeous!! Can I have them? Pretty please?? haha
-
Thanks for the replies. I currently use it as treats as well but since Bailey loves it I was thinking of maybe using it in his meals in the future. Would it be suitable for a 13 week old puppy?
-
Does anyone feed their dogs or puppies Ziwipeak? Keen to know more about what people think.
-
Petstocks stocks them. That's in Melbourne though.
-
Cosmolo, please excuse my lack of response. I didn't see this. I got it from Bunnings, but they had to order it in for me and I had to buy a box of 6 - lol. I have given one away and I have one in my car and one in the lounge for the couch. It isn't really meant for clothese, but I use it. You would need to be careful with delicate fabrics and knits though. I don't know how you can manage the months of waiting for your special pup, but I guess if you want the lineage, you will have to have super dooper patience ;) . Was just wondering if you happen to know the product code??

Thanks Luffy4688, We did try that early in the proceedings but he tended to have great fun chewing it up, but as he is a little older now I will give it another go to see what happens. I will let you know if it is a success Thanks for the input. Regards PC. Here is the little monkey. You're more than welcome. :D I'm not very experienced, I'm a 1st puppy owner myself to a 3 month old puppy. It's all from personal experience. He's so far got it to a point where he scratches the balcony door when he wants to toilet. He did try to chew on the fake grass as well, but he grew out of it after a day or 2. The next time he makes a mistake indoors, you could try to absorb some of the pee up with a paper towel and put it underneath the fake grass. The smell should encourage him to pee there.
-
Lol. That's an interesting method.
-
Why not try laying some fake grass on the balcony? Or you could use the PetLoo. So it's technically outdoors since he has to go out a door? I lived upstairs as well and that's what I did. Worked really well for me and there wasn't a problem getting him to pee on real grass outdoors after his vaccination as well.

Hi, I'm a 1st puppy owner to a 11week old corgi Bailey. So far things have been going great. Training, puppy school and everything, so far so good. I would really like to research and gain more knowledge in my own free time and I was wondering if any of you have some good recommendations on books or Dvds. I was looking at Cesar Millan but he has so many books that I don't know what to start off with Any suggestions, recommendations would be highly appreciated.

Exact same over here. Being a 1st puppy owner makes me worried even more as sometimes it's a debate should I just wait and check on his poop or should he go to the vet straight away.
-
Bailey just pooped again, and zipper was in it!!
-
He has not pooped the zipper yet. He still behaving perfectly normal though. How much longer should I wait?
-
Thanks. His pooped this morning, but no zipper inside. Definitely a lesson learnt. Will continuing monitoring his situation.
-
Hi, just realised Bailey chewed off and swallowed part of the zipper strap on his pillow cushion. It's the type where there's a cushion inside protected by a casing with zip. It most probably happen just an hour or 2 ago as if I could recall I did remember seeing it still there before that. But if could have happen before that. I could have already come out in his poop today. I'll be monitoring his poop tomorrow to check if there's anything. I was wondering if there's anything I should be aware of in the meantime and would the zipper strap hurt/cut his intestines etc since it's metal? Doesn't feel sharp but I'm still worried. God, I've learned my lesson to never get pillows or cushions with zips anymore. It was on specials at the local pet store.
