Apollo strapping that is used for greyhound collars is cheap and great for use in water. It's not as soft as syntek however. I get mine from this website, the people are so helpful and get the goods out very quickly. They've custom made things for me too. http://www.elitegreyhound.com.au/collars_leads.htm

Pretty sure this is a medium. I bought it for my corgi not the GSD which it's clearly a bit small for!! Hope that helps

Oh so it was Neko!! I saw a gorgeous little black IG baby being carried by a lady through the rain on the Saturday afternoon at Bulla, following a man with another couple of IG and have been wondering since if it was Neko. I would have stopped you for a pat but it was bucketing down

Paw Nutriderm Shampoo Or Dr Zoo's Shampoo
ish replied to giraffez's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I recently tried the Dr Zoo itchy dog shampoo on my itchy girl. We would usually use aloveen. It's a nice shampoo ad she's come up very shiny. She does seen less itchy but no miracle. Have only used it the once so far -
This is my old girl Tiger, who is 12 (13 in May) She's just been through a bit of a health scare and I was frightened I would lose her, but happily she's almost back to her old (lol) self now. She still enjoys a hoon around the paddock, though not for very long, but her favourite game is doing some obedience work for treats. ETA She was 2 when I got her, though I'd known her since she was a baby - my first dog was from the same breeder. She came to me as a potential breeding bitch after being a successful show pup, but she needed quite a bit of work on her confidence after a fright. We did obedience classes to bond and she was a star. She was the first dog I trialled with and retired at age 9 after winning highest in trial at a Geelong trial and getting her CD title. I tried a couple of times to get her in whelp but was never successful. She's enjoyed playing with the various pups and adult dogs here over the years and has a special 'boyfriend' in Cuba the Corgi.

Keep in mind too that you're being advised of best case time frames (which I hope you get, and more) but worst case can be much shorter. My 4 year old GSD was put to sleep 10 days after her osteosarcoma diagnosis - her tumour growth was very rapid and surprised even our vet, who had given her several months to live. Wishing you the best, whatever your decision

You could still do this without a prefix - you could use your dogs name, your own names, or a made up blog/website name to do all of the above, documenting your achievements etc. Your prefix wouldn't be attached to any thing you did with your current dog/s anyway so people would still need to look you up

Very sorry for your loss KOE, he was a special boy

Monash in Melbourne is highly regarded for hip and elbow X-rays. I had 2 GSDs done there late last year after they both had bad X-rays done elsewhere and for the 2 it was just over $700

So Why Are Breeders Reluctant To Advertise Where There Is A Demand For
ish replied to SwaY's topic in General Dog Discussion
often ten times over. I advertised in a couple of places with my last litter, gumtree and some online sites included. All I got from those were tyre kickers and those that wanted to argue price and get a bargain, I'll advertise outside of DOL again , just so it's not all puppy farmers and byber's I agree, and this has been my experience too. There are plenty of quality enquiries through DOL and mostly tyre kickers on the other online classifieds/buy, swap & sell sites -
I've failed every other time I've started too - but seeing as my 2014 goal is to get organized, I'd like to join in this year please :) I'll do 52 weeks of my dogs

My GSDs love it - I've done the ET with 2 of them. The springer attachment for the bike makes it so easy. 6km, which is the distance around our local lake, is usually a good easy distance for my dogs I've found

I had one done with fresh semen and I think it was about $350? It was a few years ago. The bitch did not get pregnant.

Sue at McIvor road vet is excellent for hip and elbow xraying

I've rehomed dogs who I've seen again several months later, usually out at training/dog club, and they've been happy to see me and say hello but they certainly had no doubts they had new people now. I've never rehomed one as old as 7 though

Another big thumbs up for wayrod - he helped to send one of my GSDs to Perth recently and was super helpful
