Oh, hello, these are my lettuces They are tasty Om nom nom nom So tasty Hmm, this one not so good actually Of course lettuce is a normal part of a dogs diet, what are you trying to say??

If you like them and want them, why not show the pics to the people making your cages so they know how they fit in etc then order them yourself to be installed when they arrive? There are 2 company names in the email who should be able to supply you with the locks.
-
Yes thats right RubyStar - they push closed and open with the button, plus you can lock them with a key. I did some research into the ones that Puppybars use, because I really like them - I'll forward the email from the company that makes them
-
I've had 2 done at 3 years old, 1 at 2, 3 at 18 months and one at 12 months
-
I took a heap of photos of a puppybars set up and a different home made set up to give the bloke making mine - if you'd like them, PM me your email address, might give you some ideas

So sorry Noisy

What Miranda has said is along the same lines as what I was told by a vet who does a large percentage of the xrays in Vic. He said that the longer you leave it, the more accurate the score because of the additional wear and tear over that time. A dog scored at 12 months hasn't had the wear that a dog of 3 years has, so if at 3 he scores well it is a better indicator of good hips. Plenty of other factors come into when to score them though. Silly having 2 to do and not doing them together, especially if you have a long trip to the vet etc. My last one was done the week she turned 12 months old, because she had a home waiting for her and it was easier to do it before she left than try to get her back to do down the track.

Big congrats to those who got passes today It says here that the GSDCV will hold a ballot on June 9 if they get too many entries. It also says June 3rd is a Saturday and a Wednesday, so who knows! http://www.gsdcv.org.au/sites/default/files/file/GSDCV%20Endurance%20Test_June%2025%202011_0.pdf I'm another who will be anxiously awaiting to find out if we get in - Chili turns 8 in October so this is her last chance at doing the ET. If we miss out, I might have to look at going interstate

I'd like to attempt getting the novice agility title with one of my GSDs. She's fit and obedience trained, and loves the bsaic agility stuff at our obedience club. Because I do obedience and show training with this dog, and our others on Sundays, I was wondering if there was anyone in the Ballarat area (or within an hour or so) that had some time during the week for private lessons? I am free Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday during the day. I've got a Dad who is pretty handy making things, so if equipment is needed I could probably get some made and bring a trailer.

Good luck Ish, who's the lucky mum to be? Thanks for the luck! It's Termi

Chili is so excited to be training for the ET She does actually enjoy herself once we get going thankfully!

The GSD one on June 25th

I've just realised this year is the last year one of my dogs could do the ET, as she turns 8 later in the year (can't believe she's turning 8!). She's a fairly motivated dog and is currently trialling in obedience but I can't say I'd call her fit. She could probably do 2 or 3kms at the right speed currently. Have I left it too late? She enjoys running with the bike and I have the luxury of being home through the day all but one day a week. Honest opinions appreciated

I don't really know which thread to put it in!! We know she ovulated on one of the 2 days inbetween prog tests but which day and thus which month is a mystery! I'll stick in this thread, I need somewhere to post belly pics etc as time goes on

I used to do all of mine in my front loader, then do a rinse & spin before doing my own clothes - but due to the size of the vetbed that fits in the whelping box, I've recently bought a bigger capacity top loader from ebay just for the dog stuff.
-
I might be in here, or in June, we'll have to wait and see!! GSDs due July 1st
-
I think you should go ahead with the test for EPI - its something that your dog has the symptoms of and its relatively common in GSDs.
-
My girl has 2 paws in this thread and 2 paws in the July thread

I've got a large size heated pet mat for sale in the marketplace section - only been used for a couple of hours so as good as brand new. I bought it to use with puppies but have decided to get a heated whelping box

No not another tetanus shot, but it is best to go because you will most likely need antibiotics. If you are within a few years of needing a tetanus booster, and have been bitten by a dog, the Dr might suggest having it done then, just in case.

One of my GSD girls doesn't tolerate red meat well, she's doing very well on Supercoat Sensitive Just a pain that you can only buy it in small bags and only at Coles
